the writers trying to expand everyone elses emotional arcs like Sokka, Zuko, Iroh, side characters (and let's put aside for a sec if they did it well or not) yet Aang, the actual protagonist of the show who woke up to find his entire culture wiped out, barely gets the same attention cause idk apparently his grief just wasn't compelling enough to explore
