“Okay…let me try and remember one…” The ghost paused and started to think about the past. Sometimes his memories of the past were a little fuzzy, but he could remember important details.

“Do you want to hear this story from when I was alive where there was a ghost that was haunting an entire forest? Would you like to hear about that ghost?”

Still, he acted like a child but not once could he remember hearing a ghost story. AI wasn’t the type to share those and if they were, they were nothing but factual. Maybe he had heard them before but his brain had changed so much by now it wasn’t even a distant memory.

He trotted along after her like some kind of puppy but his words were nothing but innocent. It sounded like there was some dark, evil intent behind his words.

He was hanging from a low tree branch and if his words didn’t snap her back to reality, she was bound to bump into him. He didn’t seem to care though and expected she would come up. He was durable enough if not.

Of course, doppelgangers were usually his fault. He wondered what it was like to have a brother. Did he have a brother out there somewhere? Now that sounded silly. He doubted there was anyone else like him.
