Interview Day
Today I had an interview at a greenhouse 23 miles away from my house. I would be taking a $2 pay cut and driving almost 10 more miles a day to work tho they seemed to like me a lot and the General Manager said “you get a gold star” and the owner seemed to think I would be a good fit for the position. Assistant Grower was the position I applied for tho it seems I would be the “jack-of-trades”, fixing various things, running the tractor and just helping out wherever needed. I do like the sound of that but with the added commute and pay decrease (from what I was making) I really need to either make this work by either spending less or impress the hell out of them so they give me a raise ASAP. My other two options I see would be to find a job closer to home or move closer to them tho that could bring in its own challenges because It is not a major city by any means with a population of just over 12,000 people or that could be a good thing because well Fuck the city. I grew up in a city of almost 1.5 million people and the city I live in now is almost 91,000 people. I am hoping it becomes something good and not something bad.Â
