Currently, I’m working on a special project using power stones that affects the human body and other living resources. You may refer to me as Professor Midnight Lucesco.” 

“Oh, you’d do well with the Deep Space branch of Fenrir. We’ve got a fairly new program, though we’re still working on navigating that part of space. Most of the time, I just fly to some of the colonies in the belt. Sometimes Hypersleep still makes me a bit queasy. A holdover from my time as a fresh Merc. You can call me Luka, though my official title is Head of Research and Development for Fenrir. Most people just call me Doctor though.”

She gave a small shrug as she placed her hands into her labcoat, giving a small nod to the other woman. Biochemistry, chemistry and astronomy? She’d be a good asset to have in Fenrir. Perhaps she could convince the other to come work for them as a head of her own section?

“I specialize in mechanical developments, and more importantly, artificial intelligence. I do a lot of work with making artificial limbs or improving the use of cybernetics and various systems for armor, mechs of all shapes and sizes as well as the terraforming tech we use.”

 Rena heard of many events where AIs would turn against humans and their creators. She doesn’t mind having an AI, but she have to be sure that it doesn’t try to kill her later. She has enough things in life she has to worry about taking her life as it is.

“Well, AI turns against us because we keep treating them like tools. Whether people realize it or not, AI are, alive, they’re learning and evolving! It’s a wonderful thing to be at the forefront of creating them. As far as hacking goes, I use a fairly complex algorithm in addition to some fairly formidable anti-breach tech. Besides...If I do run into a situation where I gotta fight an AI...I always have my rifle for that.”
