Tuesdays with Morrie, written by Mitch Albom, movie with Jack Lemmon and Hank Azaria
The other day someone asked what is my favorite book or movie and why, and I answered that the book and movie were my favorite, but I couldn't pinpoint why. So today I rewatched the movie, and I was reminded how much I loved it. Some of my favorite tidbits:
*What is wrong with being second
*Crying is not only just ok.
*life is too short to put off things that are important to you.
*living and dying go hand-in-hand so don't be afraid of jt, "you are not a wave, you are part of the ocean."
I think part two for me is rereading the book. But another thing I realized are the similarities between Morrie and myself, and Mitch and myself, which perhaps should be a different discussion.
If
If only each tear that was shed could be crystallized into a beautiful diamond. If only all the hurt that was felt could be bottled and used to destroy our enemies. If only all the love that was given in vain could be given to the unloved and forgotten. If only we could hit the erase button and wipe away the time that was wasted.
destination
I see my future before me
line after line of blinking red lights
as far as the eye can see
countless people telling me to stop
trying to keep me from reaching my destination
Forest for the Trees
Today I finally saw the forest that had been there all along I walked by the trees Admired each of them alone Their individual beauty and magnificence That had been there all along How did I not see them all come together to magically become one forest of beauty and magnificence The trees made the forest that had been there all along.

A Chocolate in my pocket, (a tale of thanks)
I found a chocolate in my pocket A gift forgotten And now an unexpected treasure A heart of chocolate Wrapped in gold foil decorated with little hearts That I now I shall pass on again. Perhaps to bring another smile to someone, Or just a tasty treat. And to the original giver of this gift, I say again, "Thanks". Nov 26 2020
LITTLE GIRL CAME UP TO MY DOOR DRESSED AS A SHARK & I GAVE HER M&MS AND SHE SAID âTHANK YOU I LOVE YOUâ & HER MOM SAID âYOUâRE SUPPOSED TO SAY HAPPY HALLOWEENâ & THE LITTLE GIRL SAID âSHE GAVE ME NEMNEMS. I LOVE HERâ
A Mother's Love
A mother's love is always there
Like the sky above
Like the earth below
With every breath you take,
It is as if she has taken it to.
And if her job is done well
There will come a day
When a mother is called upon
Just to say hello
because you know it will brighten her day
And just to hear from you
And know that you are ok-
It is everything.

Bells palsy thoughts
When you get past peoples reactions to your face now, it is easier to be some semblance of the old you. Smiling is the hardest because when you cannot, people's first instinct is that you don't want to, not that you are unable to.
Those that seem to be, are really not to be seen as they are not to be, for they always will be, what they are not.
Mostly in the "light" area nowadays but it is drastically different then before the darkness. Mostly appreciation, sometimes feeling scared the light will go away...
