so ive looked around and i think most people agree shiki and ziggy separated at nero 66. When the bombs were activated ziggy!shiki wanted to save the planet and tried to, he failed and everybody else died as a result except him. 

by some means he was able to be preserved for 20,000 years, and people think rebecca was the cause that she died keeping him alive. but this is the cycle!

ziggy destroys nero, shiki tries to stop him, shiki fails and wakes up 20,000 years in the future and uses that to go back in time and raise his former self. Its all a cycle. but our shiki broke that loop by choosing a different path and abandoning nero 66. 

but that still leaves the question whats ziggy’s goal why is he trying to annihilate the human race and why is he bent on destroying his past self? 

maybe his whole goal was to raise shiki lovingly so that when the time came to destroy nero 66 he would try to save as many people as he could dooming the loop to repeat. 

at the same time it would also remove present!shiki and most of his colleagues from the timeline meaning there would be no significant force to stop ziggy from doing what he wanted but ziggy is afraid of his younger self and believes our shiki will destroy everything but isnt that what ziggy’s doing?

but why would ziggy kill his past self? and he talks about saving the universe but he’s killing all of his old friends

see elsie is kind of like a mentor figure so i’d assume she’d be dead by this point but mashima already took away witch from us so he could keep his elsie justice slowburn going

the whole 20,000 years in the past makes no sense to me i can’t predict anything i only understand things in the moment

shiki is actually shiki’s grandpa?
