I’m very obviously failing in my duty to cover The Best Genre of Games. I’m stepping aside from my tumblr/site work. I will continue to maintain https://twitter.com/metroidvanias.

My domain, metroidvanias.com, has purposely been re-directed to https://metroidvaniareview.com/. They’re doing great research and review work and definitely deserve your eyes.

I’d also recommend subscribing to the Metroidvanias channel (not mine) on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/Metroidvanias. They’re constantly adding to a list of MV trailers. EZPZ method to get the latest MV trailers in your feed.

I hope to return to the scene some day, but I’ve got to go back to square one on my web design stuff before I can put together a site that works for me. In the meantime, thanks for your views and support over the past years.

Minoria, the next game from rdein of Momodora fame, is hitting at the end of August!

... I remember a time when the bombservice website looked like a proto-Geocities page and I would email rdein every other month about when the next game was hitting. So happy for their successes!

CrossCode - Released!

Forgot to post about this one because I was too busy enjoying the heck out of this game!

It has the trappings of MMO gameplay, as the game takes place within an MMO, but after a few hours it adds so many tweaks and different implementations of basic systems and moves that it makes your head spin. 

A bit Zelda, a bit MMO-y, a bit Phantasy Star (Critical Damage name drop), a bit Terranigma (O V E R L O A D - D A M A G E name drop). Big thumbs up!
