I usually only post fanart—whether it’s from anime, games, music, or manga. And I kept thinking to myself...
"Hey Grace, you’ve been drawing fanart for others all this time. Why don’t you try creating something 'original' and posting it for once?"
But then Laychel told me...
Laychel: "It’s because if you post your 'original' character art, it’ll be harder to get noticed. Your art won’t attract much attention. So how are you ever going to succeed?"
Grace: "Yeah, it’s true that I’ve always draw fanart. But Every time I draw them (My Original), it makes me incredibly happy."
Laychel: "But still, that kind of art is harder to succeed with. So don’t come crying about it later, okay?"
One day, I’ll come back and read this post again—when I’m older and realize that drawing, for me, was never just about becoming famous
