mfw people say that wall of voodoo only had 2 lineups
okay im gonna contradict myself here for a moment....
technically, wall of voodoo DID only have 2 widely recognized lineups. one with stan as the frontman and the other with andy. you can’t argue that both frontmen accompanied the band with very a distinct look, image, and sound, especially compared to each other’s “eras”.
HOWEVER.... if we want to get really technical (which i do cause that’s me), then i say that wall of voodoo actually had 4 different lineups.
take this chart from wikipedia:
voodoo was often a 5-member band. when bruce left after dark continent, chas had to fill in for him on bass, but bill also had to fill in for chas on synthesizer too. then, bill, joe, and stan left after call of the west, and bruce came back.
it was not only frontmen that were being replaced.
i’m just saying this to bring justice to bill noland but most importantly, bruce!
bruce rode the entire voodoo train, albeit in and out, but at least he was there from start to finish. i mean, chas and bruce are really the only surviving members of voodoo that stuck through every single one of its lineups....
and thats all i have to say!
