Some ideas from my no-Surak au
Jim is a “federation researcher” that Spock found “stranded” out in the Forge.
Jim has had all identification removed from his uniform and person, any actions he takes will not reflect on Starfleet, and consequently that means they’ve left him on his own. I wonder what his mission on Vulcan is?
Spock is the spoiled, artsy, rebellious son of the T’Pau household. The most influential matriarchy of the region. What he lacks in political influence he makes up for by being a radical and out-spoken activist who backs many of the anti-war and civil-rights organizations. Though his sisters have yet to get any concrete proof of such a thing… they’re beginning to think T’Pau might just have a soft spot for the brat.
Spock’s preferred attire is usually pretty simple, fitted, and prudish. But he does enjoy antagonizing his more conservative family and peers with those “scandalously revealing new-age fashions”
And for the final panel: without the discipline of Surak, vulcan has a different method for dealing with emotions. It’s basically like the flu! It’s extremely inappropriate to subject others to your bad mood and risk them catching it. Put one depressed person in the middle of the crowd and it’ll spread down the whole block in just a few hours. No, the ideal thing to do is isolate yourself in your room until you’ve recovered
