Eurovision Song Contest 2016 – Grand Finals Review

One year of waiting, millions of people are registering, hundreds of people are competing, and now they’re down to 26. Best of the best from their countries, and now they’re going to give their best. Because only one, will be crowned as the champion of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. It was a long journey, and it will paid off soon enough.

All right. Without further ado, let’s get to the show! May the best song wins! [I’m excited from the start, honestly; and for the sixth time in a row I’m going to watch via live streaming]

And as always, the postcards resembling participants’ habits and hobbies… and here we go analyzing the Grand Finalists’ performances! 1. Belgium (Laura Tesoro – What’s the Pressure): This never stops amazing me, even from the last round (they’re performing last on Semifinals 2, I guess). Pretty much similar to Semifinals 2, but the more the energy vibes, the better (but not too much please). Just a little bit. I remember the vibes were a little bit higher during the Semifinals, but at least this one is pretty good enough. Good job! (y) 2. Czech Republic (Gabriela Guncikova – I Stand): Listened to it time by time after their original round, I started to love this song even more. Added by their first Finals after years, this is gonna be awesome. But that was so cool :) Didn’t change much from the last round, but it keeps the awesomeness as it is. Great job! :) *But I need to add the chorus part’s pitch or where, should be higher a little bit, then it’s perfect. But it doesn’t reduce the awesomeness much, it’s still awesome.* 3. Netherlands (Douwe Bob – Slow Down): This didn’t disappoint me even much. He’s getting better this round. Great job on being consistent! [I hope my good feeling doesn’t get me wrong] (y) *no more comment from me* [my interruption: I hope this song will make it far. This amazes me since the beginning.] 4. Azerbaijan (Samra – Miracle): Maybe I feel something felt missing last round, but this round she seemed like fixed it a little bit, and it sounds nicer. Great job, though (y) I appreciate that. But I guess, more energy on the chorus could be better overall. A little bit. But it’s okay, because that was good overall :) 5. Hungary (Freddie – Pioneer): Oooh, well then. A nice song I heard it, but I guess he keeps rocking the stage, great job! (y) I hope this can go far, though. 6. Italy (Francesca Michielin – No Degrees of Separation): This is one of the songs I enjoyed since the first listening, and I also have her as my singing inspiration (just so you know, I sang for pleasure). I love the song, and I love that staging. So simple, but beautiful. I expect this to go far, good job, Italy! (I hope this can do better than Gualazzi’s 3rd, I guess) [the 2 in 1 Italian/English parting reminds me of some songs doing this, though – I hope it’s fair for both languages as well xDD but seriously, this is awesome! The song, the performance, everything. I love the message in the end…] 7. Israel (Hovi Star – Made of Stars): My expectation from the last round’s advancement isn’t wrong. But seriously, here, he got better. :) At least consistent. Kol hakavod (= congratulations) :) (anyway I started to get the feel of the song with this version sung in SF and GF, great job!) 8. Bulgaria (Poli Genova – If Love Was A Crime): Still, I enjoyed this song ever more since advancing to this round. My expectation isn’t wrong – she keeps the vibe, and I just hope it gets stronger by the song gets further (more energy to live the song is better, actually, esp. the chorus). Good job, Bulgaria (y) I expect this made a diversity on the further placing, though. [P.S.: I love the energetic ending.] 9. Sweden (Frans – If I Were Sorry): I guess he nailed it. I love the song, though. He did a great job with this song, and I also hope this is one of the songs that can go far, because I guess the audience are enjoying it *see, they’re clapping* (y) Tack, Sverige! :) [Now the hosts are interrupting it. See? People are cheering when the hosts are interrupting, and the hosts are thanking Frans. And Petra explained a little bit more about Stockholm.] 10. Germany (Jamie-Lee Kriewitz – Ghost): I started to enjoy this song this time. That sounds mysterious in the beginning *yup, the darkness*, but when it turns to light – wow! That was cool. A cool song, and staging. Great job, Germany! :) 11. France (Amir – J’ai church): I literally can’t stop listening to this after the first listening, because it’s interesting and nice. And he delivered it in a cool way. Simple, cool, and elegant. (But again, just push it a little more and it’s better; and he paid it off in the end) I expect this to go far. Awesome! ^_^ 12. Poland (Michal Szpak – Color of Your Life): Sounds like an improvement from last round, more vibes, more vivid, and so on. You’re rocking it <3 [I hope this is also one of the songs who go far this year] [And now another interruption from Petra after 12/26 songs are played, because we’re almost halfway. Wow, Mans’ now on the nearby arena with another thousands of fans! Special guests there are Carola and Loreen, sharing their all-time favorites.] 13. Australia (Dami Im – Sound of Silence): Another one that never cease to amaze me. Just as consistent as last round. Another one of the songs that I hope can go far… :) Great job, my Southern mate :) *I noted that people love the energy she brought to the song.* 14. Cyprus (Minus One – Alter Ego): And now after all those dramas, let’s just getting rock’n’roll! And it’s getting cooler this time, congratulations! :) (better from last round) [My interruption now: Omg now I heard and watched really, that how amazing these songs and performances are. It’s getting amazing after this, and I absolutely clueless on who should I vote if I have the rights. Oh my goodness. Congratulations, Class of 2016!] 15. Serbia (Sanja Vucic ZAA – Goodbye (Shelter)): My expectation isn’t wrong here. She keeps rocking, and even better :) Good job ^_^ 16. Lithuania (Donny Montell – I’ve Been Waiting for This Night): I enjoyed this song as a whole even more (omg my weird taste is getting weirder), and now I love the atmosphere he brought to the stage. xDD Like, even better or consistent from the last round. But seriously, this is cool. :) Ačiū, broil! :) 17. Croatia (Nina Kraljic – Lighthouse): Great song, and consistent from last round. At least, I feel there’s something better, and I have a hope this will go far. All right, hvala Hrvatska ^_^ 18. Russia (Sergey Lazarev – You Are the Only One): This is another one of so many entries that never cease to amaze me. The vibe, the energy, the staging – I guess this is consistent with the last round, and it keeps getting better. Spasibo Rossiya :) You guys did a great job tonight :) 19. Spain (Barei – Say Yay): Another song I enjoyed throughout the round. The atmosphere she brought is nice (see, people clapping around?), and the energy made the song made the song so alive. Just push it a little bit (omg how many songs I have to say this) and it’s better. But she handled it greatly, so felicidades, España! :) [that effect was awesome, though] [Petra interrupted from Green Room at this point, like, promoting the CD, DVD, and wait. The scarf? The souvenirs, sounds like I want it so bad.] 20. Latvia (Justs – Heartbeat): Again, I love people’s vibe who watched it live – clapping with the song. No wonder why, the song is so enjoyable, even more this round – and he presented it consistently from last round. And the chorus made it even better. Paldies, Latvija :) 21. Ukraine (Jamala – 1944); She’s telling her story, sharing her feelings. Really. See, she’s handling it pretty well. Great job on doing better than last round, I hope this can make it far. :) (see, people applauding and stuffs? I appreciate it very much!) 22. Malta (Ira Losco – Walk On Water): I enjoyed the song even more after the advancement (along with some songs), and I feel Malta’s getting better, or even amaze me this round. Great job! (y) [one more thing: chorus more energy more better. omg well I felt that song, but the ending paid that off.] 23. Georgia (Nika Kocharov and Young Georgian Lolitaz – Midnight Gold): Another rock’n’roll for the night! :) Great effects, enjoyable song, and I believe this can bring a lot of diversity on the top. Like, I hope this is going far. Love that it’s consistent with the last round’s performance <3 Rock it, Georgia! 24. Austria (Zoë – Loin d’ici): The song keeps being as enjoyable as it is (yay I fell in love with this song since the advancement, even more, though), and this interesting song, I hope, could be in more than a middle <3 Great job, Austria! :) (props at being consistent from last round) 25. United Kingdom (Joe & Jake – You’re Not Alone): Another song I enjoyed since first listening, now my expectation is not wrong (thanks, rehearsal glimpse). But I think, they should add a little bit vibe to make it more interesting on the first. Or I thought it’s not the peak time. Oh, they made that climax in the ending. Great job, then! :) 26. Armenia (Ivete Mukuchyan – LoveWave): People’s most favorite. And I’m not wrong. This song also amazed me, along with the performance last round. And now in this round, she got better, and even the performance looked more interesting. Not just the effects, but everything! From the way she presented it and so much more. I believe this can go far. Awesomely brilliant! ^_^

Eurovision Song Contest 2016 – Semifinal 2 Review

Just like in matter of two days, I’m back again. This time reviewing the second semifinals of Eurovision Song Contest. The thing that made this semi special, oh, wait. Happy Independence Day to Israel, and specifically I hope you guys did well this round. Along with the others, though.

That unfortunate moment when Romania is schedule to perform #12, but TVR failed to pay the debts, and as a result, they won’t compete this year. The song will be available through downloads and the hard copy (yup, in this case it’s the CD) though, but still. There are various reactions to this, but in honor of their ‘almost’ participation, I put their song both on the SF2 and all participants playlist on my iTunes. But seriously, that was shocking because the news came like in three weeks before competition, and in this case most of the people said ‘why don’t let Romania compete this year’ until ‘why don’t you announce it before next year’s contest’ and all sort of those. It’s not just unfortunate though, but it’s the saddest thing I ever heard in my Eurovision watching years. *a minute silence* [apparently their song who won the last selection was “Moment of Silence” by Ovidiu Anton, omg]

Here, the last 10 countries advancing to the Grand Finals will be determined. But first things first, we have to get through the whole show before the announcement.

1. Latvia (Justs – Heartbeat): I started to enjoy the song, really. He got that feel from the first bits, and the climax was there starting from the chorus. Super simple staging, but that’s okay. I feel the message of the song as well. He’s rocking it, man, in the end! Although, it doesn’t seem pretty hard. He felt them. Great job. 2. Poland (Michal Szpak – Color of Your Life): I started to remember the, at least, softer version of IS ’13 Eythor Ingi, or something like that. Err, the song, I mean. I enjoyed this song since the beginning, but the first two entries gave me an impression of (yes, including this): good songs, simple staging, and perfect feeling, sort of. But what I noticed from Michal’s performance is, the hidden band. If the hidden backing vocals are too mainstream, but the band is hidden behind him thanks to the lighting. Yup, because we’re focusing on Michal’s song, and performance of course. Not pretty bad, and I hope my feeling of this song making it comes true. He got the feels too, man. The feels of the song. Awesome! 3. Switzerland (Rykka – The Last of Our Kind): First of all, that smoke effect was just cool (#OnlyinEurovision). But I think on the chorus part she could just dramatize it little bit, with like showing the expression of being last and, for example the regretting expression, like the chorus line. Musically, I pretty much enjoy this song, but a little bit drama on the chorus could be nice. A little bit. But else it’s just okay. The ending was pretty dramatic though, with all those fire stuffs above her. Good job! 4. Israel (Hovi Star – Made of Stars): Oh my goodness I enjoyed the song from the first time I listened, but this sounded totally different with the version I listened. That’s okay, because I enjoyed this version too. That staging was pretty much good though, sounded simple but as always, hidden backing vocals, and here, the dancers who was rounding-and-rounding was seen pretty much glimpse (yup, because the stars effect making it… blinking!). That was cool, anyway. 5. Belarus (Ivan – Help You Fly): Seriously?? Oooh… that one was just an opening. That was surprising, but I’m impressed. The same effect as Malta did. Again, the effect was cool, the song was not bad enough. That effect reminds me of the Armenian though, what a great staging. Oooh, and that was awesome! The transition though. One of the most unique performance I have seen, honestly, because of these: pretty good songs, simple, but cool staging. Cool! :) [I’m going to interrupt this but the first few performances are cool…] [Petra interrupted this though, informing about the issue regarding Ivan, but Mans interrupting those and it seemed funny… and another interruption comes like last round when they’re under covering as taxi drivers and the priceless reactions from fans, once again. I can’t imagine that…] 6. Serbia (Sanja Vucic ZAA – Goodbye (Shelter)): I guess she rocked it from the beginning. I enjoyed the song though, but the performance… that was great. The sudden coming and gone once again (thanks, song!), well, the choreography was pretty cool. Great job! <!—definite in for me, imo—> 7. Ireland (Nicky Byrne – Sunlight): Solo version of the rock’n’roll, I feel here. Although the song was pretty much upbeat from what I feel, and I enjoy. Oh wait, the first chorus wasn’t as dramatic as the one I heard (that might not be the turning point, yet, or it was me), but I hope this could just reach the climax in the ending. At least. But I enjoyed it, anyway. Good job, Ireland! (But the ending was pretty climaxive, I guess) 8. Macedonia (Kaliopi – Dona): A song that I constantly enjoyed every time I hear it. Pretty much simple staging as always, a great song, and I have to say this: this year, she deserved to make it! She got the feeling since the beginning, the feels of the song (omg how many times I have to repeat the part ‘feels of the song’)… and everything! And oh my goodness I feel how dramatic it is. *standing ovation* Very well done (y) 9. Lithuania (Donny Montell – I’ve Been Waiting for This Night): Musically, as always. Sloooww tempo, and then it got upbeat a little bit. But this time he handled it great. Oh my goodness what the awesomeness… the performance. The expression, the feeling (although not pretty much… dramatic), but at least it’s suitable. And impressive. That’s great! Since I have a good feeling of this song, I hope this can do well. 10. Australia (Dami Im – Sound of Silence): Coming from afar… aw yeah… wait. Let’s just concentrate to the song and performance, which is pretty much awesome if I can combine both. An enjoyable song, along with simple but elegant staging (well, more elegant than some of the previous performances). That was cool, good job, mate! :) [I have to add here that the crowd was so enthusiastic, I’m impressed. Well done, my friends from the land down under.] 11. Slovenia (ManuElla – Blue and Red): Omg I missed this country on my playlist, I’m a flop. But I enjoyed the song and performance as a whole. And yes, she rocked the stage. Great! [Romania should’ve been in this spot but yeah, the problem we know… *one minute silence*] 12. Bulgaria (Poli Genova – If Love Was A Crime): I feel like I started to enjoy the song more, and overall, that was nice. And awesome. (Well, that was pretty much awesome although not too much… I guess.) 13. Denmark (Lighthouse X – Soldiers of Love): I enjoyed that song, seriously, from the first time I heard. The starting was pretty cool, although it seemed like odd and I was like “wow”, and I love the way they harmonize this, since they’re group of three (I feel the difference of keys of these three people). Not bad. :) [Then Mans interrupted with noticing a bunch of songs talking about love, uhh… and made us take a look at people’s favorites. And then we’re directed to Petra who’s there on the Green Room.] 14. Ukraine (Jamala – 1944): My first impression of the song, is not bad. Memories, memories, and memories. I felt the dramatic atmosphere already since the beginning. I’m impressed already by the way she present it. Soon brilliantly great, and awesome. 15. Norway (Agnete – Icebreaker): First time hearing the song, I felt weird about this song because I enjoyed it for the first time. And along with the performance, it was not bad but pretty much like, that was great. She really felt that song’s atmosphere… she definitely did a great job with this. (y) Good job! 16. Georgia (Nika Kocharov and the Georgian Lolitaz): Reminded me a little bit to their entry with the almost same concept, but the camera effect though xDD but actually that was cool. The effect. I enjoyed the song although not pretty much, but overall this deserved an okay for me… although it seems like overall they’re cool :) the performance. 17. Albania (Eneda Tarifa – Fairytale): Oh my goodness, from what I hear of the song (yup I heard the song), this song was pretty much powerful and I enjoyed it. Technically, when she performed it, that was so… simple, I guess. But I guess that was her characteristics or, wait, I can’t really describe that. Nice job. :) 18. Belgium (Laura Tesoro – What’s the Pressure): So enjoyable, the song and performance style a little bit reminded me of some past entries combined into one, and the effect brought the performance alive. Actually not, because combination of them made it… perfect! (Well, not that perfect but at least interesting.) Good job, Belgium! :)

Eurovision Song Contest 2016 – Semifinal 1 Review

I’m back folks! Not reviewing The Amazing Race or Survivor or Big Brother because I don’t really have time catching up to all of them yet (thanks to pre-college and personal projects), but I’m sure I’ll give some analysis over there. And now I’ll place my Eurovision review here, since I’m also a big fan of Eurovision Song Contest ^_^ (At least this is the longer version of my usual comments, not longer, but united version. Maybe here I should just apply to be an ESC commentator lol.)

1. Finland (Sandhja – Sing It Away): Well omg at everything here. Musically I did enjoy this song although not pretty much, but I guess she’s rocking the stage from the beginning xDD I guess this sounds like a retro at its best, because it reminds me to either 1970s-1980s vintage styles, well, you know, combined with modern stuffs. Err, pretty much a good combination I saw here. 2. Greece (Argo – Utopian Land): One of the songs I mostly played on iTunes, well, I can describe why here. I love the ethnic touch here already, thanks to the concept they bring tonight. But unfortunately, comparing to the recording, it sounded a little bit differently (they sounded like trying to do harmony here). I don’t know why I have a different impression in this point, but I feel like the song is still enjoyable, no matter what happened technically. I just saw the lyrics though, and the rap part sounds touching and they brought it in different concept. Nice choreography at this point, though. 3. Moldova (Lidia Isac – Falling Stars): Yes, she’s performing solo. The song is not bad enough… (but wait, it got dramatic after the first reff when someone came and, wow, it made the performance even dramatic). I thought he was gone, and he joined in the stage. Sounds cool. And ended up with presenting a good chemistry. 4. Hungary (Freddie – Pioneer): Nothing change from the song, I guess. Still a nice song itself. And I feel like this is simple but elegant, that’s what I love. I also love the song because I feel, it might be hard to be a pioneer myself, or other people might feel this, as reality said so. Describes reality, actually. Still an enjoyable song for me, hope to see you in Grand Finals, because I already have a feeling this will be, well, one of them. 5. Croatia (Nina Kraljic – Lighthouse): I guess still as it is. I started to get enjoying the song more in this case. Pretty much good effect as well, when those dressed in black got in, from the initially Nina went solo. But really, that effect made the performance more interesting, and even I was left guessing what will happen next. And oooh, like the jacket or something got removed, nice. Especially I feel it’s getting neat and so dramatic on the line “I know there are fire” or something like that with the black effect. Umm. That worths it. (I realized the ones dressed in black were the backing vocals, wow) [And this interruption though, from the hosts. They’re under covering as the taxi driver and see their reactions are. Most of them are, so priceless. And they’re shocked as well, congratulations! (an extra package: Verka was there)] 6. Netherlands (Douwe Bob – Slow Down): The ticking intro before was longer than what I heard on audio, interesting one. The music itself reminds me a little bit to “Goodbye to Yesterday” (EE ’15) type of music, and I already enjoyed this from the first time I hear this song. The band, and the backing, made the song even nicer tonight. I hope this will make it to the Grand Finals, because I already have a great feeling with this song already! Hop, Holland, Hop! (excuse me my soccer fever is getting up already). The stop, and saying “I love you too, baby”, made the song even more dramatic, in my opinion. And it’s nice! (Bob greeting the audience, though.) 7. Armenia (Ivete Mukuchyan – LoveWave): The effect made the song very dramatic, and I believe this made the performance even more awesome. That effect before the chorus, yes that one! I started to enjoy the performance as a whole since then. Well done, Armenia! Everything is perfect for this, I guess. And seriously, that holograming effect? That made it very cool! xDD 8. San Marino (Serhat – I Didn’t Know): From the beginning when I hear this song, my taste said this song is pretty much okay and perhaps could be the middle of advancing or not. The backing on the beginning of the song made it pretty much, I feel that made the song different any way. The thing that I’m shocked, comparing to the audio I’ve heard is, that modern effect (err, semi one, it reminded me to 80s once again) made the song alive. At least. I feel it made the song more interesting, along with another vintage performance here. Well, although I was born in 90s, I miss the 80s already thanks to the atmosphere they brought to the stage :D soon freaking elegant :) [And then Petra Mede interrupted with all those compliments regarding San Marino, and let’s just continue the songs parade to order number 9.] 9. Russia (Sergey Lazarev – You Are the Only One): I already love the song’s touch from the beginning. That screen behind Sergey reminded me a little bit of SE ’15, I know they’re so inspired. As a song I enjoyed them very much, although it might not be my usual taste – but I already fell in love with the song. The effect went very awesome, well done Russia! THIS IS A PERFECT COMBINATION!! I enjoyed the song, I’m being inspired once again: if I live in Europe, this could be one of the ones I’ll be voting for. Great job and thank you for the spectacular performance! 10. Czech Republic (Gabriela Guncikova – I Stand): A lovely song, I guess. Plus, solo and simple staging. This is going to be awesome. And indeed, the whole song proved it. [my interruption now: I wonder why starting from like 2-3 onwards I feel like everything is getting awesome and participants are doing great tonight.] 11. Cyprus (Minus One – Alter Ego): Seems like I enjoyed this song a lot. Including here is, I’m very wow-ed with the performance as a whole. Like, it impressed me from the beginning. All the effects, and a bunch more. Rock it, Cyprus! (anyway I already feel like Cyprus is one of the ones that played the night) 12. Austria (Zoë – Loin d’ici): After Cyprus’ rock, now I would just like to say, Pop It, Austria! Contrasting with what I thought with a bunch of moves and stuffs, the beginning was pretty much simple as it is. That’s cool, anyway. The staging went pretty different, but it made the performance unique as a whole. 13. Estonia (Jüri Pootsmann – Play): Reminds me to another vintage reference as well… I don’t know why all these nostalgic feelings came to me after hearing even some songs from this year. Now, the difference is, Jüri performed it solo. Him getting out and throwing the card though, sounds cool once again. And all those atmosphere came… xDD all right. Not bad, but nostalgic. Oh dear. (No wonder why, Stig helped him writing this song… but I already feel the atmosphere since the beginning, and he handled it pretty well.) [Now the hosts are interrupting once again, especially Petra from the Green Room interviewing Serhat (SMR), Douwe Bob (NED), and Sergey Lazarev (RUS).] 14. Azerbaijan (Samra – Miracle): I don’t really like the song at first, but I started to enjoy it a little bit more tonight. Also a brilliant staging, plus that camera though (when they was like changing from a backing to another), if you watch it on TV/live streaming. Not bad enough, but I feel some are pretty much better… although, there are four countries left to perform tonight. 15. Montenegro (Highway – The Real Thing): Oh my goodness I’m impressed by first sight (along with the song, though), rock’n’roll again! But pretty much slower… or mixed, I guess. Not as much as Cyprus. (Jump out, everyone! Oops.) I enjoyed the song as a whole, but I don’t know why my feeling said this could also be in the middle of either advancing or not. We’ll see though, because I already have mixed feelings for this song. Although, one more thing: the camera view and staging are looking awesome, complimenting the enjoyable song. 16. Iceland (Greta Salome – Hear Them Calling): Greta, Greta… the song can’t stop stunning me, even when she first appeared on ’12 with Jónsi (Never Forget). But the song is pretty much, different. Adding a different touch made it nicer, yup as we heard it’s an upbeat, along with the dramatic staging out there as I see. I’m expecting this doing good already. :) [that screen though] 17. Bosnia and Herzegovina (Deen & Dalal feat. Ana Rucner and Jala): A song that stuns me for the first this year, along with the Greek one. Yup, because I played this the most times on my iTunes already. Another ethnic touch, and I already feel the combination of the epic-ness and stunning-ness already. My expectation is not wrong (the harmony was good though, but the tone should be higher a little bit, I guess. I’m not an expert but I’m just thinking that way thanks to the audio.) And I hope this song advances though, the touch they brought made it even nicer xDD #AjdeBIH (well I fell in love with the song that’s why) (note that the rap brought the modern touch here, sounds a good combination indeed) 18. Malta (Ira Losco – Walk On Water): That effect on the beginning was awesome, once again. Another enjoyable song, I have to say (because so far I listened to the song several times, I seem to enjoy it). And I don’t know why I have this feeling of, pretty much usual but they brought that great element to the staging, that’s cool :) [Yes, because I believe every participant brought their own concepts from song to staging, and I respect that. Good luck everybody, and thank you for a great round tonight.]

Another Part of Marathon...

...consisting of all the episodes I'll catch up (including Kaoh Rong, Thailand, Canadian BB, TAR US 28, if possible that Turkish season, and the Israeli BB and perhaps the French), will return after I finish my exams series. Another Marathon... Has Begun

And it'll comprise of: 1. Round 4-5 (?) of Big Brother Canada 4 2. TAR US 28 ep6 3. Survivor US 32: Kaoh Rong ep5 4. Koh Lanta FR 15: Thailand eps 5 and 6 (including Half Time Review) ...and I hope I can join the party on BB Israel, France maybe, and Survivor Turkey (the last one will be a struggle because of their soap opera-ness)

Marathon: Thailand ep4 Review

I’m finally back reviewing Koh Lanta, this time I’m catching up on the fourth episode. At least this warms myself up before Kaoh Rong continues. (I apologize once again for my average French, but maybe my French-speaking counterparts can clarify? Thanks before.)

During the last episode, Aopoh won Immunity, sending Karwai back to the Tribal Council. When Aopoh learned how to survive in the wild, there went some dramas… And while being exiled, Karima found the Hidden Immunity Idol. Plus, another drama happened at Karwai just slight after the Immunity Challenge had concluded, sending Huw home.

The day after the Tribal Council, sounds like Julian said it’s a strategic move. The majority now discussing (Alain, Pascal, Julien, Lolo, and Laureen; or did I mistaken?)

Meanwhile, Steve can’t wait to find another Idol, after he didn’t find it last time; while Karima found it. And she’s looking for another one.

Wait. Karima found a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol, or a special tree-mail? Because it sounds like a tree-mail, in another sight. And she revealed her Idols possession?? :D Oh my goodness this can cause an epic move in the future.

Meanwhile in Aopoh, it looks like a usual camp life out there. At first. Then there goes Cassandre found something at least to clean their teeth, then show them to some of her tribemates. Then all. :P

And everybody went impressed. Then the tribe had breakfast together. This is like, what an ideal tribe life. :D I’m impressed, Aopoh. Go this way.

Then there goes the challenge. Romain wondered where Huw was, and Sir Brogniart said he was eliminated last night (ep3) on Tribal Council.

Before all of that, they welcomed Karima and Steve from the Exile Island. Steve even didn’t know who was eliminated last Tribal Council, while Karima felt glad because her tribe won Reward and Immunity. Wow. Mixed expressions over here.

Okay. Karima got the special tree-mail and read it in front of all the tribes. There goes the twist. First, Karima was the new captain of Aopoh, then she elected another for Karwai. Because…. DROP YOUR [THEIR] BUFFS. They’re switching tribes!

I think this could bring another whole new twists to the game.

Well, that’s…a schoolyard pick.

Aopoh 2.0: Karima, Carole, Steve, Romain, Pascal, Amir, Carine, Lolo Karwai 2.0: Loreen, Nicolas, Gabriel, Wendy, Alain, Cecilia, Cassandre, Julien

[Meanwhile, Romain didn’t understand the switch, like why Karima chose Carole, at first. And they provided reasons why they chose the member, for example Loreen chose Nicolas because of his physical strength.]

Then, Carole advised Karima to choose Steve, and indeed Karima chose Steve. For strategic purpose, I guess?

The first three members, sounds like Loreen wanted a strong tribe. See, she chose Nicolas and Gabriel for the first two names. But wait, after some names, they decided to discuss on a new name, and they decided Cassandre. I’m impressed.

The last two names were randomized, and it’s Lolo on Aopoh 2.0 and Julien at Karwai 2.0.

There ends the switch. And they had to do a challenge.

In this challenge, they had to stand on a platform, sounds an endurance-like over there. There goes the sit-out draw…

…and this time, Carine had to sit out.

First, before all of that, they had to carry a platform upstairs to another platform. Carole and Cecilia were lifted by those mini-platforms to reach the big one. Teamwork is pretty much needed. Mostly.

Carole fell. Cecilia too. First times.

Oh, if they fell, they had to restart.

Lolo fell (I guess there’s that substitution). Cecilia seemed to handle it well. And they’re midway, I guess.

Lolo fell for the second time. Karima stepped in.

Karwai’s almost there. Cecilia sounded calm… well I think that’s the key. Keeping calm on their way, not getting rushed to get that first – but being slow and steady is good. That’s what Cecilia’s doing.

Romain stepped in for Aopoh. Urgh lack of coordination. Carole is back for Aopoh. And fell again. My feeling is right with the lack of coordination. This could even bring them to Tribal Council if they kept like that on the Immunity Challenge.

Meanwhile on Karwai, Cecilia is almost there. She’s so freaking close, and so does the tribe. She carried the tribe on a whopping lead to Aopoh. And my first impression said Loreen selected a pretty good mates.

And finally, Karwai won the Challenge! Finally, after like three rounds. Congratulations! Although it seemed like Reward, they really deserved it. Aopoh, the lack of coordination could be your downfall. And also no wonder why, Cecilia’s experience on balancing (being a professional dancer), combined with a great coordination, proved that Karwai deserved to win. And I hope my future impression on this tribe doesn’t get Ulonged out, doesn’t get wrong. And it’s their first challenge win hooray.

Yes, fruits were their Reward after all those hard works. Err, actually foods. Sounds yummy, right?! :D

Whoa. Both tribes got different rewards. Karwai got more rewards than Aopoh, I guess. Because they won the challenge.

Oh my goodness, are they now strategizing for future challenges, in which we still don’t know what it is? (Aopoh 2.0) Or, talking regarding the tribe choices and switch reactions post-challenge? :D

Well, it’s just straight to challenge after switch, so interesting.

And now they aired Romain’s profile. …and half of the tribe hunting for food, as always.

Seems like there was this pattern between Lolo and Romain because they enjoyed their characters as a person or something? I’m confused within this point. (Yup, because Steve went laughing at them after the hunt, omg) …and their confessionals, totally worth it :P

Now Pascal said Lolo’s position is in danger. Err… …and now there it is…alliances started to form.

Meanwhile in Karwai… …they went back to camp full of rewards. :D I’m happy for them.

And, fire-making there is. Gathering trees, fire by torch (they got the torch on Reward) and so. Hooray!

Back in Aopoh, I suppose there’s this drama went on between Karima and Romain, like what? (Is this a drama or they’re strategizing for future moves?) Or is this a drama because Karima chose Carole on the schoolyard pick? Oh my goodness this is getting interesting.

Going back on Karwai once again, this is the normal camp life of eating together. And having normal lunch as a tribe. (Umm, this is another favorite part of mine in every Survivor version, before the pre-Tribal Council dramas intervene)

And at night, the tribe’s collecting the stuffs people left on the camp before switch, take a look at Karwai when someone recognized there’s Lolo’s clothing left behind. Oh man.

The next day…

…Cassandre hoped she didn’t get known for her idol possessions (well she owned like two or three Hidden Immunity Idols, and that’s a lot).

Then, Cecilia and Cassandre talked about Karima’s choice of Carole on the schoolyard pick, wait this has been trending on both Aopoh and Karwai’s camp. Let’s see if Karima’s choice is right.

Meanwhile on Aopoh, is this a drama between Pascal, Steve, and Amir going on? Then the rest got dramatic. Full of drama. I don’t know if this can lead to another drama before Tribal Council, if they’re going.

Then they aired Steve’s profile.

Sounds like there’s this block between Amir, Karima, Carole, and Carine; and then there’s Pascal and Steve going on – but I suspect this might change. And sounds like Karima played a pretty good social game over here.

Back in Karwai, they received a sea-mail… …to prepare themselves for the Immunity Challenge. Sounds interesting.

Julien felt the swap is magical. Oh really?

But first of all before the challenge, there goes returning the stuffs to its owners. The owners left those stuffs in all of a sudden because the switch came surprisingly to them. Yes, all of the castaways.

And this is how the Immunity Challenge will work: they had to bring the stuffs over the obstacles provided, to exchange it to another heavier one. Then, they had to transfer them to a provided platform, and those who went there first will win Immunity.

The tribes are strategizing at this point.

There we go. Laureen and Romain were carrying… the stuffs, along with the rest behind. For their respective tribes.

It’s getting tight at this moment.

Karwai leads at this point. All right, tribes are doing good… Karwai is still on the lead.

Again, teamwork is important. And Karwai handled it well, great job!

Laureen reached the platform first. Oh, they had to pick stuffs out there. Mhmm.

Aopoh struggled more out there since the beginning, while Karwai is still all the way to the lead.

All right, Karwai wins Immunity! (They transferred the things first) They really did a great job out there. And the blaming game begins.

(Steve looks very upset out there)

Oooh, now they felt the tactic doesn’t work.

For the first time, Aopoh is going to the Tribal Council. And I smell Steve sounded like throwing the game to be able to eliminate someone? I don’t know if this is a wise choice to eliminate… and it’s almost like he got the blame.

Sounds like Pascal would like to align with Lolo at this point, eliminating Steve is his plan. At this moment.

Meanwhile, Karima got even more closer with Carole. Sounds like the patterns will be made before this Tribal Council.

Back to Karwai, they celebrated their Immunity victory. Look at Alain, omg love that reaction. He attached his buff to the Immunity Idol, like wow.

Seems like Cassandre lost her Hidden Immunity Idol? (And now they aired her profile) …then telling them to Cecilia. Uhm, this will be interesting. I guess, for the next few episodes before the merge.

And now she formed an alliance between her, Gabriel, and Cecilia. Still a threesome, though.

And going back to Aopoh, it’s like Carole knew it could be her who got eliminated. And it’s raining. Heavy rain, thunderstorm, like it is back here on my hometown these days.

Then people got different views about Karima. Wait. Tables can turn if I can guess here. I can suspect all of them are because of her social game. Pretty much like that.

Like, she’s that strategic. :o

And back to Karwai, it’s all cooking stuffs because they’re preparing their breakfast. But the bad news is, it looks like Cecilia got sick (get well soon Cecilia!).

Again, back to Aopoh, it sounds like they’re now preparing their Tribal Council.

Okay. Between Pascal and Lolo, Carole or Karima’s name are being thrown. How interesting. Meanwhile Karima is there with Carole and Amir, sounds like strategizing.

Karima and Carole… discussing out there, and Karima would like to vote Lolo out.

And there is this other option of, Steve.

Then everybody looked for Steve, which is nowhere to be found near the camp (he’s on the other side cutting trees), and I guess he’s the lone-swing-wolf out there… for this Tribal Council. He needs to develop his social game, in my honest opinion.

And there is this other block between Carine and Romain. Err wait…

…finally the Tribal Council is here.

It’s perhaps between Carole, Lolo, and Steve – or there’s a surprise name thrown during the Tribal Council. Who knows?

And sounds like Amir’s looking for personality as the base of his vote that night.

…err, people now are talking about Steve on the Tribal Council. Carole started that. (err, meanwhile it’s Sir Brogniart asking the question and the rest’s looks like pointing at Steve)

And then pointing teamwork doesn’t work. (on two challenges, both Reward and Immunity, oh my goodness am I understanding it right?)

Then Romain’s being thrown. Is this a throwing game after all? (thanks to Pascal, pointing at Romain’s being directive).

And now it’s time to vote. Here are the results:

(Wait, who’s voting because the eliminated person is not even switching; and okay, no one would like to use the Hidden Immunity Idol.)

First vote. Lolo. (it was Huw’s vote from the last Tribal Council, his vote counts) One vote Lolo.

Steve. One vote Steve, one vote Lolo.

Carole. One vote Carole, one vote Steve, one vote Lolo. (Comment: how diverse the votes are)

Pascal. One vote Pascal, one vote Carole, one vote Steve, one vote Lolo.

Carole. Two votes Carole, one vote Pascal, one vote Steve, one vote Lolo.

Carole. Three votes Carole, one vote for each Pascal, Steve, and Lolo.

Lolo. Two votes Lolo, three votes Carole, one vote Pascal, and one vote Steve.

Carole. Four votes Carole, two votes Lolo, one vote Pascal, and one vote Steve.

Carole. Five votes Carole, two votes Lolo, one vote Pascal, and one vote Steve. Carole, the tribe has spoken. And she has the rights on voting on the current remaining castaways, her vote will be revealed if Aopoh went to the Tribal Council.

[And there is this ending drama for this episode between Romain and Carole.]

I guess, the diverse voting was like about the different patterns formed. Some were the swing, some went confused so they threw names, and that was so diverse with four names being thrown. And as the next episode will bring another drama, it sounds like the other bonds will be formed.

The switch here really shakes up everything. Even the dynamics. But who knows, everything will be really shaken, on the next episode. And trust could be also the issue here, but someone who played a pretty good social and strategic game in this case, could prevail in the end of the switch.

Marathon: Kaoh Rong ep5 Review

And finally, my Survivor review is back. Now on to Kaoh Rong, the 32nd season of the US Survivor, and it all went complicated, after the dramatic situation last ep. Caleb went medevaced, and Alecia being voted out.

This time, with all those different positions on those three original tribes, I wonder what will happen next. The teaser said there will be a switch – and this could bring the game upside down! Let’s see…

…Tai and Jason found the Idol. Alliances are freaking everywhere. 13 castaways left.

On the Brains, Peter felt being an underdog and already at the bottom, after Liz’s vote out. It’s getting crucial out there… and Neal realized the Brains are now the tribes of 5 (4 aligned and 1 not), so Neal’s looking for the Idol once again.

Neal got the clue… …and he’s on his way making it through. He needed to make it as fast as possible to not getting spotted (and yes, previously he was accused on having the idol).

And Neal got the Idol, congratulations! That means, he’s the third person having the Idol. And he read the twist (Super-Idol if there were two combined idols). And his goal now is to find another Idol, or someone that has the Idol.

…Sir Probst calling all the castaways… …and now asked them to drop their buffs, because things were being switched up at this point!

[castaways went in shock]

Sir Probst said that originally, the committee wanted to split 14 people into two tribes of 7, but, Caleb’s unfortunate evacuation changed the numbers into 13. And here is it.

There were 13 buffs. 6 blue, 6 yellow. One red. Whoever draws the red buff will go to the Brawn beach, alone… [My first impression here said that this is like the replacement of ‘Exile Island’, but no Exile Island twist present here so the Brawn’s beach is used as the ‘replacement Exile’. That drew me inspiration here.]

And as the consequence of being ‘exiled’, the person won’t participate in challenges and even Tribal Councils, while this person can’t strategize and stuffs. Plus, I’m certain that my guess is right, that this person will join the losing tribe next round (which is ep6 in the US). And yes, my feeling is right. :D

Here we go.

Chanloh 2.0: Cydney, Debbie, Neal, Nick, Michele, Jason (2 brains, 2 beauties, 2 brawns – lucky you) Gondol 2.0: Scot, Peter, Joe, Tai, Anna, Aubry (3 brains, 2 beauty, 1 brawn – wow)

…and Julia’s exiled on the Brawn beach. This sounds interesting, after all. Congratulations, everyone – the game has just changed. (I agree, Sir Probst)

Peter really needed the swap, and it happened. Congratulations! Scot’s the only brawn on Gondol, and he felt like he’s on the bottom on the totem pole already. Err… did someone said “Winner winner, chicken dinner”, like, that Worlds Apart ep omg wow so nostalgic :D (okay folks let’s still focus on Kaoh Rong, okay)

Aubry and Peter started to think on getting on the numbers. Scot also confessed they wanted to take out a Beauty.

Meanwhile on Chanloh 2.0, Michele felt the swap is nerve-wracking already. She’s doing the right thing: read people before making an alliance. That’s still her plan. Debbie felt like the swap was a warm welcome, and she wanted to first, work with the Brawn ones. Cydney also thought working with Debbie could make a great duo. Because she found Debbie’s character as motherly. And they had a deal of having themselves appearing not close.

Debbie now talked to Jason and planned a foursome – the Brains and the Brawns and they planned to vote out the Beauties (Nick and Michele). Again, she just wanted to be the mastermind behind the scenes.

Tai found the swap as great to make new friends out there, and Scot found Tai as a cool man. Scot now already had a man crush on Tai already. What an amazing development.

Anna had a worst scenario ever. She had a bad feeling already. Now she had that plan of ousting Tai by using Peter, Joe, and Aubry. Err.. I mean, working together with them sticking together.

Nick felt the swap make the things more simple. He’s with Michele and they’re looking for two more. Oooh, it’s now all about alliances in both sides, I got them now.

First, Nick got Jason. Both sides of Nick/Michele and Debbie/Neal, according to Jason, made them a good spot. Yup, because they’re on the middle right now. (err, Cydney too)

Meanwhile, Julia felt unwell after a night on Exile. Come on, I believe you can do that. And it’s the hardest part of her game, she admitted it. Errrr, Julia, you’re actually 18? (maybe turning 19 this year) All right, in some versions people already took part at 18 (e.g. Israel, the only one I knew – idk on the others).

There goes the challenge… but there was still old habits. The first Immunity Challenge, and here’s how it works: two members had to swim and had to retrieve a net of fish puzzle pieces. Once they got back to shore, two other members had to untie those pieces, put them onto a pole, who carried them to the other two members who’ll complete the fish puzzle. First tribe to get it right wins Immunity, of course. Because there are two tribes, then the rest will be… eliminated.

Jason and Nick went down first, then Aubry and Scot following by.

Scot got the first set, and working on the second set. Nick got the first.

Jason and Scot got the second set, and they’re now going to the shore once again.

[omg Scot carried the first stage by himself for Gondol, Aubry what are you doing?? But she tried, that’s great.]

Michele & Cydney and Tai & Joe had to untie those pieces. And there we go. It’s getting tight over here. Very, very close.

They’re now dragging, and Gondol’s on the lead. Now the final stage: Debbie & Neal and Anna & Peter solving puzzle pieces for both tribes.

This could be pretty tight, since both tribes are doing well in this part.

Neal & Debbie are making great progress, a lot, and they thought they have it… …and they did it! Chanloh won Immunity, sending Gondol to the Tribal Council. And Julia will join the tribe – and that means it’s Anna vs. Tai is on the making.

First of all, Peter apologized for that fail. And definitely, Tai didn’t want to be that person voted out with an Idol in his pocket.

Joe and Aubry are now figuring out if they can blindside Anna. And, it’s similar to Aubry’s initial plan – that’s getting nicer. All right, Aubry’s with Joe.

Tai didn’t like Peter, so he had a plan to take Peter out, and he revealed he had the Idol! (to Scot and Anna)

Aubry came out to Scot and they wanted Anna. And Scot thought it can be a good idea, keeping that Idol, and then uniting Tai’s Idol with Jason’s – and there goes Super-Idol! :D

Scot then advised Tai to not use the Idol because it’s useless. Well, because his name is not being thrown over there. Makes sense. He would bring the Idol that night, to make sure and also see his position during the Tribal Council.

And there goes the Tribal Council! Finally :D

Aubry, you said “The Devils We Know”, yay! (And, it was pointing Peter and Joe regarding the dynamics).

…and everybody talked alliance and dynamics, because this is their first Tribal post-swap (esp. the first EVER for Anna and Tai). And Tai… I love your hardworking habit and that spirit on camp.

And I agreed, Aubry – decision. Yup, regarding we had to make a decision despite whatever happens – sounds like it.

But Tai even threw like no Idols being played… sort of like that. (I think he’s not using his 100% in this situation).

So the blocks now are: Peter/Aubry/Joe and Anna/Tai. Scot’s the swing. Sounds like it.

And it’s voting time! Here are the results:

Fifth person voted out, Anna. Because it’s four – and the tribe has spoken.

A message from Sir Probst tonight: Survivor’s a game about decisions. That night, they decided to keep Tai over Anna, and the question was (until the next Immunity Challenge): did they make the right decision.

Okay. The swap. First of all, Caleb’s unfortunate evacuation brought the whole new twist to the game, which was the “Sudden Exile”, because the Exile is not pretty far – To Tang (Brawn)’s camp. And then, the next part that I’ll take a look pretty much will be the dynamics. The dynamics might change.

Well, at first there will be tribe-based blocks (because of being on the same old tribe and so on), but everything will turn out differently, especially after last Tribal Council. I guess, this is going to make an interesting point, and I’m sure the next episode (yes it’s obvious next round) will bring the whole new dynamics, and it sounds like drama out there.

…and game on, everyone! There’s this game starting, getting interesting after the swap.

Marathon Midway Progress

Err, how can I call this midway? Because I'm on a midway of a marathon, episode reviews marathon. Right now all caught up for Big Brother Canada 4, with some other notes: – TAR US 28 not aired until Apr 1 – I might join the party on Israel and France's BB, as I remember their current season is underway and I missed the party since the beginning (I hope I didn't miss much, at least halfway). – Survivor US 32: Kaoh Rong only need ep5 to be reviewed. – Koh Lanta FR 15: Thailand needs eps 4 and 5 to be reviewed. And that's it! If I missed another party (like there's this other version currently airing), you can help me telling which version and season so I can finally caught up on. Marathon: Big Brother Canada 4 ep8 Review

And there is this eviction day and the next HoH decided. It’s between Christine and Cassandra. One of them will be voted out, tonight.

Dallas didn’t use the PoV on both on them (he’s using on nobody, let’s say that), so let’s just see what will happen after all of those dramas last ep.

Even Ma’am Arisa said the nomination was shocking.

Previously, after the PoV ceremony… Cassandra had to make sure there were numbers on her side, while Christine felt so annoyed. Loveita felt glad Dallas didn’t use the PoV because she wanted Cassandra eliminated.

Tim even felt Loveita ran the show that week. And it’s all about power… …and alliance, and trust. Sort of like that, if I can sum up all the statements.

I believe the swings will be completely confused with all of these. (They’re already confused since the last period)

Then, Nikki and Tim put on pranks on people, because Tim said it’s all about attention. :P Oh my goodness, you guys. Still keep the cool and fun on the intense situation like this. Cheers!

First victim: Cassandra. And she seemed to be the victim of all the pranks, Tim said. Oh my goodness, what the hell. She’s on slop, she’s on the flop, and all of these things…

…and Tim believed it’s a part of her hard week.

And there goes issues of Nick/Phil backdoor after Jared spread, and yes Kelsey did it. And Kelsey said Dallas said that. This is getting hot, man. Getting hot.

I nodded well, when Mitch said he had to help calming Nick/Phil, as they’re an emotional player, sort of like that – and he added that this game is not all about people controlling [in terms of votes], but on our self-control. He’s noting it right, and once again I had to agree with you, Mitch.

All right. We got two different blocks here. Ramsey-Maddy-Dallas | Kelsey-Jared-Raul The rest? They’re the swings!

So there goes Mitch coalition-ing with Nick/Phil as the swings, but the other swings? I completely got no idea still, because the commercial break came.

Nick is going there with Maddy sleeping together like that, oh my goodness. And now I wonder if Philippe came in once again… because Philippe is so concerned of their game (Nick/Phil as an ‘individualized’ team) in this case.

Dallas came in first, though. :P Meanwhile, Loveita is still talking with Christine – while they agreed Cassandra as two-faced. Christine appealed to Loveita already because of her decision.

But wait. Christine just started aligning with Loveita at this point. Sounds interesting for another perfect big move, well we’ll see.

Cassandra felt Tim and her were the normal people over there. But wait, someone slept in on the HoH Room? :P [people laughed already]

Er, Nikki’s there on the room… …well, Nikki went that expressive or emotional I got no idea and even her fellow houseguests and audience laughs. Umm, calm down.

And she needed a hug, so there goes the hug, mates. Nikki also felt Tim distanced himself from her after being with Cassandra almost all the time, she said. And no wonder why Nikki wanted Cassandra out. Oh, come on – is this getting on the breaking the ties once again? Like, breaking the ties on the looking tight houseguests.

The next day…

Tim was making fun of Nikki, but Nikki was offended. Uhm, well, I understood that. But there goes the drama between Tim and Nikki because of Tim avoiding Nikki all day. Oh my goodness like what the…

…come on, guys. I hope you guys reconcile at this point around (or onwards) because I feel like, come on – fix them up.

And there goes the strategizing, for example the clear blocks (okay there’s one more block – Tim got close with Cassandra).

Plus, Jared already summed up that there were so many backdoors issue on the house.

And the next day…

Okay, Philippe aligns with Cassandra at this point to secure her. And Cassandra already secured the majority vote, and she believed they’ll be the majority.

So there goes Dallas, Loveita, Nick/Philippe, Joel, and Nikki on the HoH Room. And people were having different views of elimination, sounds like it.

Oooh, there goes this view of having Jared, Raul, Kelsey, Mitch, and Cassandra having this block. And Dallas felt they’re on minority – and he already expressed his views to the ones on the HoH Room. Okay, we need tables to turn around once again. This is already dramatic…

…and if someone already wreck a havoc, there goes the other dramatic point of the game!

And yes, aside of all the dramas, they’re entertaining themselves! :P They really did a great job on relieving their stress, and I think this is the good way overcoming the drama and at least, not being too dramatic. Alias, blending together no matter what are your blocks. :P

And let’s take a look at the example: pillow wars upstairs, gymnastics and dance, but wait Joel what are you doing?; then the hoops, meditation, playing on the pool, Joel’s chore track, and Tim poured with cream (then to Raul) – well there could be so many! :P

As we know, both nominees would have 30 seconds to plea their case. And after all of those, here are the votes: [six is the magic number]

Dallas voted to evict Cassandra. 1 vote Cassandra. Kelsey voted to evict Christine. 1 vote Christine, 1 vote Cassandra. Ramsey voted to evict Cassandra. 2 votes Cassandra, 1 vote Christine. Raul voted to evict Christine. 2 votes Christine, 2 votes Cassandra. Maddy voted to evict Cassandra. 3 votes Cassandra, 2 votes Christine. Jared voted to evict Christine. 3 votes Christine, 3 votes Cassandra. Nikki voted to evict Cassandra. 4 votes Cassandra, 3 votes Christine. Mitch voted to evict Christine. We’re tied again with 4 votes Christine, 4 votes Cassandra. Nick/Phil voted to evict Christine. 5 votes Christine, 4 votes Cassandra. Joel voted to evict Christine. 6 votes Christine, 4 votes Cassandra. Christine’s out. Tim voted to evict Cassandra. 6 votes Christine, 5 votes Cassandra.

And those concludes all the votes. Christine, the house has spoken.

Meanwhile, Christine already knew that the vote would be close. And she procrastinated on the way and it didn’t work so well on her game. Yup, being unlucky and risky on making the big moves. Makes sense enough, though.

…err, those confessionals… …goodbye confessionals, were aired. [including Dallas’ apology for not using the PoV on her, although he planned to]

And next up will be the next period’s HoH Competition… (for ep9 airing today it’s this period).

Not playing is Loveita (incumbent HoH) and Nick (it’s Phil’s turn).

This time, on Date Night, they had to compete with their house crush for the whole week. The house crush was determined randomly, though – and in this challenge they had to work together to transport 50 balls (can’t use hands) to a designated location – but if the ball fell on the road, they had to start over. The first team to finish will be the winners, and then – decided between them who would be the HoH [my first impression here is I thought there would be reigning together; it’ll be fun if this indeed happened].

This sounds fun :P My expression is also laughing omg

Sounds like on the lead was Mitchell/Joel. They’re handling it great. The rest is also on their way completing.

Okay, to be continued – and the fun was all set :P This added the fun made by the house. And BB made it more fun, amid all the intense happened on the house these past few weeks.

So far, the starting of this round sounds like hanging, like we didn’t know at that point (except if we look at the live feeds) on which team won the challenge and who is reigning, but at this point I would like to say that this random pairing and that decision could lead into another turning tables, and blocks can always change depending on the moves, or on the way we’re thinking on the game. Trust could be the issue this time (well, some incidents this round already proved it), but who knows – this could be the key to the end. Everything has to be perfected up to play the game well in the situation like this round.

All right, folks. It’s all caught up, and anyway thank you for reading my today’s reviews and don’t worry – I’ll come back catching up stuffs all over again. Because this season, I feel, is gonna be great with all the uniquities that the houseguests brought to the house. Still, good luck houseguests!

Marathon: Big Brother Canada 4 ep7 Review

The penultimate episode of the night. Well, for Big Brother Canada 4. I still have some more stuffs to catch up.

And here we go. The show has… already begun, and here’s how the show continues.

Well, Christine and Cassandra were nominated, and Loveita hoped this would be the right choice for her, and after that she confessed that she would like to work with the trio (Jared-Kelsey-Raul) and nominate the floaters. Sounds like a good plan.

…and it blowed Jared away, and pissed Christine off. And I guess Cassandra was, too.

And those conversation with Christine, Cassandra, and I guess Maddy, proved that they thought Loveita did a pretty much bad move over there.

And I was like, Loveita’s clean game… umm… I’m thinking that it could drive some confusing points, but who knows this could turn out great? Because it sometimes happened… or almost always? (I completely have no idea with this).

Jared expected for Christine and Raul, though, during the talk with Loveita. But that’s fine.

…and one more thing: Dallas got fired up after the nominations. Like, the three on the game. Maybe I’m thinking, on her logic, that she could use the trio in the future if necessary… and could tear the trio up in some times of the future. That could make sense enough.

And, that was a hard decision, we know.

Plus, Cassandra then talked with Loveita… regarding that Day 7 throwback, like, they wanted to keep tight on the end. Err… the show continues.

The next day…

Power of Veto players for this time are: Loveita (current HoH), Christine and Cassandra (the nominees), and then Dallas (as he expected, he wanted to play so bad he said), Jared (he’s so excited here), and Ramsey – thanks to the random draw.

…and Loveita chose Tim to be the PoV host! :D

Meanwhile, the houseguests were busy until… …the PoV reminder screen changed to… “The Divergent Series: Allegiant”! …and the houseguests went hyped all along :P This sounds interesting.

And they got the clues: look for the clues and… some felt scary. [Jared and Dallas even went excited about this, with Jared said it’s the best challenge ever on the BB House.]

Because in this PoV, they had to: to dig for the answers they’re searching for. First, they had to rappel down the wall, and they had to make their way to the fringe, and they had to look for their puzzle pieces hidden in the airplane wreckage. They had to bring back the pieces one at a time and they had to solve the puzzle as fast as they can. Once they correctly solved the puzzle, they had to get back on the wall and hit the buzzer.

…and the first to do so, will win the PoV, and a special screening of Allegiant. This is gonna be awesome.

Ramsey went down first. Then everybody also went down and retrieve their puzzle pieces. But Christine got hit oh my goodness.

Meanwhile, Tim sounded like a good host out there. I felt the hype, like whow. The atmosphere got real out there.

Dallas even said it’s just like the movie.

…and it’s getting dangerous. Watch out, houseguests, while retrieving the pieces! (err Cassandra went confused retrieving those)

Loveita now place her puzzle pieces. And almost everyone doing it, except Christine.

Jared: first attempt, 4/18 correct. (and Dallas felt an opportunity out there for him) Dallas: first attempt, 16/18 correct. And on only his second attempt, finally Dallas won the PoV, and a special screening! :D

And he chose Maddy, Loveita, and Joel to join him on the special screening. This is gonna be the fun. Hooray!

…the game begins. (it is already omg)

And Dallas had the plan to save Christine and eliminate the brothers (Nick/Philippe), and ensuring them to Ramsey, and then Maddy. Maddy’s on board. But, Dallas had to consult with Loveita for that move.

And there goes the private screening on the house. Oh my goodness :P Good news is, Joel being thrilled because he was the Have Not that period. Have a good private cinema screening everyone!

And Dallas and Loveita felt that was what the PoV Competition looked like. Loveita and Joel then felt they could relate to the characters. Dallas even recommended the movie.

The house had fun during the dinner, after all. As a family, Tim said. (stories everywhere) …before all the PoV suspense began.

Ramsey’s right here, I have to agree with him. Even though we [the houseguests] are the dysfunctional family, we [still, the houseguests] are still family. It is. Then, Joel felt thankful (and terrific) for the experience on BB, although he missed his family back home out there (err, yes, because the next day it’s Joel’s brother’s birthday).

Loveita, Kelsey, and even Nick join in to comfort Joel out there. Don’t forget Nikki’s also there, too. (Mitch came in too; omg wow)

Then, Dallas offered the plan and then Loveita realized she didn’t feel safe with that. Sounds like another point of consideration is being made. Of, a big move.

And Dallas had this deal with Christine to vote Jared out. And there goes the upside-down plan: to get Jared out. Sounds like it. Thanks, Dallas. Meanwhile, Loveita is confused on who could she trust over there.

And Dallas’ decided to… …used the Power of Veto on… …NOBODY!

Well, unfortunately, Dallas didn’t really care of the nominations that period, that’s why he didn’t use the PoV (he actually would like to do so but he didn’t because of the moves), and Christine went upset (or pissed) on that.

Sounds like the heat on the game is getting hotter time by time. Starting from unexpected Loveita’s lone wolf HoH victory, and then Christine and Cassandra being nominated, then Dallas won the PoV and didn’t use it and pissed off Christine, and so on. All the turnarounds were massive this round, and I can’t wait to see the ending of this round’s turnaround.

…but, all the turning tables will not finish yet, because the game is still running. And I believe, with all those turnarounds getting around, this season will be as great as it is, the dramatic moments.

Marathon: Big Brother Canada 4 ep6 Review

The third round begins with Loveita’s second reign (or should I say period instead?) as the Head of Household, after getting lucky in the end on the HoH Competition. I believe tables will turn this round, and here’s how it works. (I hope my impression is right already)

First of all, Loveita went shocked on winning the HoH. Kelsey already felt the nomination on her. And Tim felt the house will be crazier, and he said – the show begins. Indeed, Tim!

Jared already told his allies that all of these could happen, and he confessed it. And he felt like his period last one was useless.

Well, and Cassandra felt great for Loveita. Yay. Christine felt like Loveita will turn the game around once again after her mistake on her period. And then, Nick/Philippe felt perfect.

Wow, various reactions.

Again, Loveita showed the HoH Room to everyone. Oooh, look at that – all house were there. :P

Letters from home, as always. This twist will be remarked, oh my goodness HoHs :D

Raul, Jared, and Kelsey got this plan – to be nice the whole week. And Kelsey said this is gonna be a hot topic.

Then Jared confessed the whole game is a strategy. Sounds like it, but there are some other aspects you shouldn’t forget, Jared. *smiles*

Jared and Loveita sounds like having a deal out there, especially Jared said he would like to work together with her at this point. Umm…

Then, Nikki got that gut of not trusting Cassandra. Err… the show must go on already. I’m going to feel another interesting turnaround is going to be made… soon.

Nikki’s throwing a party, cheers! (y) And she filed a complaint to Big Brother to hold a party or something? :P

The next day, Loveita talked with Cassandra. In the other side, after congratulating Cassandra, Loveita heard Cassandra expressed that comment “That **** won the HoH” or something like that. I’m thinking that either one of them played on both sides. – But this can, or can’t, cause a drama.

Loveita told Tim she’s thinking of a big move out there, and Tim got a good plan out there. Taking one from each side so there goes the nomination. Or, made someone from middle to bottom. That’s good, Tim. Your idea is doing great – but it’s up to Loveita, again.

BB told Joel to go to the Have Not Room, and he got that horse (Marsha) told him a secret mission. She had to ask Cassandra for a date, and then also Loveita for a date on HoH Room. And then, Joel also had to kept a secret of… not revealing Marsha to everybody :P What a twist.

First mission is a success. Cassandra accepted. Now the second with Loveita to secure the HoH Room to have a date with Cassandra. And she agreed. Mission accomplished and congratulations, Joel!

(Err… it’s sounds like a sabotage twist back on the U.S. or something like that, that we’re voting on a player or something doing secret missions.)

Joel ready himself up. Aww. :P …and Tim wished him good luck. Thanks, Tim. (oops)

And one little part to the mission to Joel is, during the date – he had to dump Cassandra. If so, he would win a party for everyone. Hooray! (And Joel said it’s gonna be hard, sounds like it)

Oh well. Cassandra felt rejected, but Joel’s mission is accomplished. Err…

Joel revealed the mission after he passed it :P And there goes the party, hooray! Party hard, mates :D (various reactions from houseguests of course)

Ramsey, Mitch, Nick, and Philippe were meditating on a sway at the beginning of the next day. And Tim wanted a massage...with Cassandra helping him.

The breaking news is, Philippe had a crush with Nikki in this point. :P

Meanwhile in the HoH Room, Loveita received feedbacks from everybody on who they would vote out or something, and from those sharings, she felt like she had to make a move that would benefit everyone. That sounds like a good point of view over here…

BB called the houseguests to the living room. What’s going on, again??

Last week, BB spotted two houseguests broke the rules on not being on the Have-Not Room. Cassandra and Joel. As a result, they would be the only Have Nots again at the next period. And Tim’s right. BB watched all of the contestants, mates. :D

Loveita re-assure the deal with Jared, Raul, and Kelsey. Yup, with Jared being present on the HoH Room over there. And there’s the deal. …then Kelsey came, and Raul.

Loveita’s not pretty sure she could trust Kelsey in this point, though. She confessed that. …and Kelsey told them to Cassandra, and it’s all hell, Kelsey said. Oh my goodness. Even she said, Loveita’s so intense.

And now Loveita’s talking with Mitch with all of them, like for example her feeling of Kelsey’s attitude or something like that. Uhm… it makes sense enough. Yup, Loveita’s now all stuck. Her position was going all the way to the top with that HoH victory last time, I could understand that.

And it’s going to be a big move, she said. Sounds like it. Good luck!

First of all, she considered to nominate Cassandra (her comment after the HoH Competition this period), Christine (too neutral, I guess – or last week’s), and then Kelsey (it’s very hard to see her truly coming for that, although she planned to work together), last but not the least is Raul (he could potentially throw her under the bus)

…and finally…

…the big moves come…

…because in the end, she nominated Christine (comments: how did I know that? *she said*) and Cassandra (she broke Loveita’s trust).

Christine would like to be a villain in the future starting this PoV (yup, because she said Loveita had no balls) and said the nominations were ridiculous, and Loveita would like to see if Jared-Raul-Kelsey would be trustworthy, or not.

After all, I have to said that tables turned around 100%, when Loveita finally made that move. She’s doing the right thing by seeing whether the trio could be trustworthy or not, and by consulting to each housemate, she knew what are the stuffs that she should and shouldn’t do. And sometimes, last-minute decision could be a charm to move forward. Who knows?

And yes, two more episodes to review to be able to catch up to the current episode, and there the other episodes are set to be reviewed within this week. Stay tuned for more updates.

Marathon: Big Brother Canada 4 ep5 Review

And there goes the Eviction Day, plus the day to determine the next round’s Head of Household. Here we go. (The good news is, I’m almost three-fourth way to the recent episode, which is ep8 as of today, 5/8! Yay! More reviews underway)

This round, it’s between Loveita or Sharry. And plenty of dramas will start right ahead of us. Yay!

Tim recognized that he didn’t spend his time with Loveita and Sharry, so he’s going to at this point. At least, to side himself on.

Sounds like Maddy and Cassandra also would like to turn the table around, like they could just put pressure on Jared although they loved him, as a person.

And Maddy thought there would be equal votes. And she said not many people were going to vote Loveita.

Kelsey… oh my goodness. Jared or Philippe? :P And meanwhile Nick… possible showmance? Phil spotted him. Ouch.

Everybody will have to put the dirty clothes and stuffs on the floor, and after that Joel & Cassandra will clean them up. The next part is, they would like to take two articles of clothes from each person for charity. Err… sounds good.

And a Whole House Reward Challenge? Something new :P And meanwhile on the charity thing, everybody went surprised.

Then, everybody would have to get their clothes back… on a twist. Oops. Joel/Cassandra ‘exchanged’ (they would give up) their clothes for all of the houseguests’ clothes (back), but everyone else was in on this and giving a secret… whatever the real hype :P

…includes the Have-Nots. Everyone will get their clothes back, and the sponsor will have to donate $5,000… Oh BB wanted to trick all the participants here :P Great job, BB.

Joel felt comfortable in the house… after all those twists. And I agree with you, man. Everybody has their own weirdness and let us be us. :D Sounds like it.

It’s going to be dramatic. :D Someone noticed the vodka is gone. Nikki hated the Canadian houseguests.

Everybody had fun out there, and Nikki freaked out… somehow. Tim’s looking for Nikki to join all the fun with the others. *that confessional though*

The next day… Ramsey felt the house is already crazy. And how comfortable it is. Raul’s prayed together with Ramsey. It’s peaceful, we know? *smiles*

Joel felt both Sharry and Loveita were threats in different ways (Loveita physically, Sharry more socially and strategically), while discussing with Kelsey and Jared.

The table turned around already when Loveita told Maddy that Sharry’s close with Jared, Kelsey, and Raul, which is the other side. And Sharry’s response: What the heck.

The game must go on, everyone.

Sharry herself said that she didn’t want to play the dirty game. Mhmm.

Oh, and BB wanted us the audience to take part on the next round’s PoV Competition by deciding who would be the puzzle there. Sounds fun, thanks BB!

Back to the house, if the house had complaints, they had a new system. They’re going to the Housekeeping part and fill a Complaint, and here’s how it works: “Big Brother (blah blah blah; say everything you want)”, BB will have to address them as soon as possible. That sounds fun, and it’s another twist :P

Oh, and Nikki loves it.

It’s now time to vote. Nikki & Tim is immune that week, and they had to vote.

Mitch voted to evict Sharry. 6 votes Sharry, 1 vote Loveita. Dallas voted to evict Sharry. 7 votes Sharry, 1 vote Loveita. It’s official, Sharry has been evicted. Maddy voted to evict Sharry. 8 votes Sharry, 1 vote Loveita. Tim voted to evict Sharry. 9 votes Sharry, 1 vote Loveita. Christine voted to evict Sharry. 10 votes Sharry, 1 vote Loveita. One vote remains. Ramsey voted to evict Sharry. 11 votes Sharry, 1 vote Loveita.

All right. Sharry, the house has spoken. Sounds like trust is the issue over here, especially if two close ones being nominated on the same time. Jared played a good role nominating as the HoH here, I’m impressed with that. Loveita’s playing a better game, I guess. By talking to Maddy for that… :D

What the whopping vote, actually. And Sharry was flattered because the house were afraid of her game. And I love it – she wanted to be herself on the game. That’s cool.

After that, there goes the HoH Competition, deciding for the next period’s HoH.

And here’s how it works: one at a time, each houseguest would have to throw that ball and score as many points as they can to the ring (only one attempt). After that, the houseguest with the highest score would be the next HoH of the house.

In this point, Jared as the incumbent HoH wouldn’t play, as now it’s Nick’s turn.

Cassandra scored 13. Raul scored 4. He’s eliminated. Ramsey scored 7. He’s eliminated. Kelsey got 4. She’s eliminated. Tim leads now with 14. Cassandra’s eliminated. Maddy got 6. She’s eliminated. Joel scored 15. Tim’s eliminated. Nikki scored 10. She’s eliminated. Nick leads now with 16. Joel’s eliminated. Dallas scored 10. He’s eliminated. Christine got 7. She’s eliminated. Mitch scored 14. He’s eliminated. Loveita scored 18. She’s leading, and she’s this period’s HoH.

It’s her second reign as the HoH, though. She was lucky in the end, though. Because at that round’s HoH Competition, it’s all about luck.

And the second round’s Eviction Time, and this episode, proved that tables do turn around. Sharry and Loveita were that close, Sharry was eliminated, and the third round HoH Competition begins with all the luck elements (yes they got numbers there), and Loveita got the spot. It’s her second reign (because the first was on the first round), and I believe tables will turn harder next round after this.

Marathon: Big Brother Canada 4 ep4 Review

And I’m back on reviewing… Big Brother Canada, their fourth season. On to the fourth episode. Here we go. (I’ll spend this Easter moment this week to catch up on all the stuffs before the exams are coming).

Jared put Loveita and Sharry both on the block. And this PoV… will say it all. Of, saving themselves or being eliminated. Well, Jared, what a well-rounded plan.

Sharry felt the nomination was like weird because being associated with Loveita, and Jared said those nominations were made because of their direct target on Kelsey when Loveita was the HoH last week. And it is, Kelsey wanted Loveita out. Oh man.

And Mitch comforted Loveita who was being sad out there on the room… The good news here is: Loveita had a deal with Mitch, and if Mitch won the PoV she said, he’ll use the PoV to take Sharry off the block.

…and both Loveita and Sharry already had their plans for the PoV. Good.

And with those nominations, now Jared still have to figure out who he can or can’t trust. All right, game on already since the beginning of this round.

Dallas revealed that he was the fourth vote (the one voting for Kelsey), on that occasion.

And there goes the Power of Veto competition…

First of all, the participants are: Jared (HoH), Loveita and Sharry (both nominees), Nick/Philippe (Phil will represent because it’s his turn), Mitch, and Christine.

Then, not participating is Nikki & Tim because they’re immune that week. Lucky you guys.

I personally love Loveita’s spirit, when she didn’t want to give up and still trying, because everything can turn around in this game. And I agreed with that.

Raul spotted the luckiness: most of people who don’t play the PoV were in their alliance’s side (with Jared, the majority one). Meanwhile, Loveita and Sharry asked Joel for motivation, and turn things around. Tables will turn, everyone!

Before the PoV, in the morning, these houseguests were playing Hide and Seek with the international wildcards. Hello there *smiles*

And everybody loves Tim. Awww. I also enjoyed his personality as well. A unifying bond to the house :P

Meanwhile, for Nikki, Raul said she’s driving the whole house crazy. And Nick/Phil said that they never knew her personality. Oh man. :D

Finally, here’s how the PoV work: Flip It to Win It – all six will have to find the three keys to open three doors. The three who don’t find the key will be eliminated, those who found will advance to the Final Round and can win the PoV. And additional of a gift card (CAN $5,000) from The Brick.

Keys are everywhere, and they’re scattering around for keys.

Christine opened the second door. She’s on to the Final. Loveita opened the first door. She’s on to the Final. Mitch opened the third door. He’s on to the Final.

In the Finals, they’ll be asked questions about the Big Brother items before getting them (it’s like an Auction Trivia). The first person to buzz in with the correct answer will win a point. Don’t know the answer, they can find the answer again. The first to get 5 points will win the PoV.

And as we know, it’s Christine, Loveita, and Mitch remaining.

Christine 1 point. Christine 2 points. She’s still on the lead. Loveita 1 point. Loveita 2 points. (Christine felt it’s her point) Loveita 3 points. She’s on the lead right now. Game on! Christine felt fired up. Christine 3 points. We’re tied. Christine leads with 4 points right now. One more and she wins. Loveita tied the score with 4. Christine won the Power of Veto, because she got 5 points. Loveita was sooo freaking close.

But, Christine had the opportunity to double her prize. Wow! She had to guess what’s there on the first, second, and third cushion provided. She chose cushion #2, and she won it! This is amazing <3 Congratulations, Christine!

Loveita felt devastated after losing the PoV. Then there goes the sharing with Sharry. Yup, after the PoV. (And they’ll be close until the end, that’s the deal)

Plus, it’s a sudden call from BB to go to the living room.

Nikki and Tim had the right to vote! This is a total turnaround, ever :P And Sharry felt this as a blessing.

Nikki & Tim are learning the voting system… with Raul. They’re going to choose someone to vote, and literally they had to choose a side. Sounds like it.

Christine’s free agent (doesn’t have an alliance), so it’s a good thing for Loveita to work together. There goes the negotiation. Sounds like it. For PoV and saving one of them (Loveita and Sharry) off the block.

Jared would like to put Dallas on the replacement nominee.

Christine already planned Dallas out, though – with Jared said, before he got one of the majority out. And Christine would like to use the Power of Veto, and she chose to use it to… NOBODY! (it’s the same with she’s not using it then).

All right. In this round, I guess it turns out to the majority alliance’s favor (with the luck of the Power of Veto of course), and it means – Loveita and Sharry are still nominated over here. Majority, majority, and majority. The majority rules. But the fun is still there, and I still didn’t lose my great impression of this season. Tables can turn (omg how many times I said this?).

But, will the tables turn around next round? Who will be evicted? Let’s see :D Because there’s this twist (Nikki & Tim having the right to vote), that can turn the house upside down. Who knows?

Marathon Part 1 Updates

All right. Here we go. Big Brother Canada 4: 3 of 6 episodes Next up on review marathon will be eps 4-6 Koh Lanta France 15: ep4 (pending) Survivor US 32: ep5 (upcoming) and coming in to the party... Survivor Turkiye 2016: ep24 (Round 5) Just for your information, the Turkish version of Survivor premiered on February 7th (at least I could join in the middle of the party), and guess what?! They air every Friday until Tuesday... ...and entering Round 5 at the moment, they underwent four rounds for 23 episodes. (Honduras' beaten) And as for TAR US 28, we knew that they'll return on April 1 because of college hoops... *alright* That's all the updates from me, stay tuned for more reviews :)
