19 years old, a lover of animals, textile work, and good natured ribbing (in fine Strahnian fashion). Ahleri spent her entire life on her family’s woollaby farm in Bakkaberk, aka the middle of nowhere. Her happy but slightly monotonous life ends up changing drastically after she stumbles on the lost magical artifact, the Hero’s Bonds, while looking for a lost jumbuck. Much to her horror the Bonds permanently “bond” to her, and with that she gets stuck with the job of being the official Hero of Strahna. And also stuck with Bertie, the annoying little guardian made of light that lives in the Bonds.
This job involves helping the people of Strahna with random tasks, fighting monstrous blighters (once normal animals and plants before the curse, but turned into nightmares with strange abilities) and, worst of all, dealing with snobby nobles and politicians.
Jonathan Abrán (aka Farstep) [The Adventures of Elastomer and Farstep @ablatheringblatherskite]
Jonathan, aka Farstep, is the first superhero to exist in his universe. He and his future enemy were once brothers. Not by blood, but they were raised together in a lab as babies, brutally experimented on (giving Jonathan the power to teleport through vortexes) and later trained to become weapons. When an accident gave them the opportunity to escape and take their revenge, Jonathan fought to protect the people who had tormented them against Crane, and in Crane's eyes, betray and abandon him. After the battle Jonathan does indeed leave Crane alone. A decision he regrets for the rest of his life. He spends the rest of his life doing his best to make it right by protecting the people in their city, evading Crane's attempts at taking revenge on him, and raising Landon, the boy who goes from his sidekick to his son. Gentle, tormented, and with a strong moral code, he constantly fights his guilt while fighting to make the world good, for Landon, and for Crane, too.
