Copley House (also known as the Forest House with Tower),
A breathtaking masterpiece of organic modernism designed and hand-built by architect and artist Nancy Copley.
Located on a 50-acre forested plot in Accord, New York (at the foothills of the Catskills), this geometric residence is famous for being a 37-year-long labor of love.
Nancy Copley purchased the site and conceived the design in 1972, spending decades personally physically executing its construction.

“This simile of “inside” or “outside” the mind is pernicious. It is derived from “in the head” when we think of ourselves as looking out from our heads and of thinking as something going on “in our head.” But we then forget the picture and go on using language derived from it. … We can only safely use such language if we consciously remember the picture when we use it.”
— Ludwig Wittgenstein, Lectures: 1930-1932

“We have to try to cure our faults by attention and not by will. […] Attention, taken to its highest degree, is the same thing as prayer. It presupposes faith and love.”
— Simone Weil, Gravity and Grace
“The ultimate end of all revolutionary social change is to establish the sanctity of human life, the dignity of man, the right of every human being to liberty and well-being.”
