today I stopped by my professor’s office to turn in a friend’s essay. it was supposed to be just a drop off, but then he asked me to sit and told me that my essay was phenomenal and that it was worth reading all the essays because he had a chance to read mine.

even though it was a bullshit essay that I didn’t understand anything that I was writing about, it meant so much to me because he is my hero
