elena: i know it hasn't been that long since i saw you but i miss you !!!!!!!!!!!!!
elena: and i'm so grateful that you're in my life mia like you have no idea
elena: i love you so much please never forget that 💕
mia: you sure know how to make a grown woman emotional, i'll give you that
mia: feeling better, kiddo?
mia: i miss you & i love you (and i'm still mad @ caleb)
judecz:
‘ you wish.’ he won’t acknowledge it, but there’s a seething resentment growing in his gut as he watches the other male & his sticky little hands. jealousy wasn’t a feeling he was used to — but in the small car it’s hard to ignore, and a guffawing, hollow laugh slips out. ‘ if we all die, this is your fuckin’ fault, caleb. ’ his eyes meet the mirror for a moment, staring back at elena’s — then he laughs again, an indignant snort escaping, gaze shifting to the window.
it’s hard to keep the unsightly twist of a grimace off her face, but mia just can’t help it. they should all be safe in the rec room, out of the eye of the storm — and instead elena and her are stuck babysitting a drugged-up man-child & a moody imbecile. her eyes roll back. ‘ ‘lena, while i appreciate all this — it might be in the interests of the majority if we lighten the load a little. ’ she swivels, eyes flicking from boy to boy. ‘ one of you, feel free to just — get out and walk. ’
judecz:
his face sours like a petulant child, lips screwing into the beginnings of a scowl. he’s never liked the rain, and the way it splatters forcefully off the windshield makes him nervous, fingers balling into fists in his lap. jude keeps his gaze down, blue eyes rolling back in his head. ‘ shut it, ‘aleb. ’ his hand sticks out to jab the other, a little more forcefully than intended.
‘ sorry, what ? ’ she twists in her seat to glare at the other, eyebrows furrowing. the sight in the backseat’s an ugly one, so she shifts back to elena — her enthusiasm seems misplaced, and it’s all she can do not to let an indignant huff escape. ‘ shut up, or we’ll turn back around and leave you where we found you. maybe the storm’ll do us a favour and wash you away. ’
judecz:
‘ yeah. ’ the back seat’s the last place jude wants to be, sandwiched between caleb’s sprawling limbs and the passenger seat, reclined back to the fullest extent by the brunette in front of him. his knees dig into the fabric, nearly doubled over, and it’s with an idle hand he waves away caleb’s words, gaze refusing to meet the blonde’s in the rear-view mirror. ‘ dunno. just found — just found these two walkin’, an’ didn’t want them to go alone. ’
it had been a long and brutal battle for the passenger seat, and mia had emerged victorious — the hammering rain and the chatter of the backseat was beginning to give her a headache. still ; the idea of letting elena suffer alone with tweedle dee & tweedle dum was worse than putting herself through it. ‘ you didn’t need to come — ’ her voice is quick with irritation at jude’s words. ‘ ‘lena and i could’ve picked up that one — ’ she jerks a thumb disparagingly to the other brunet in the backseat, the cause of this all — ‘ by ourselves. right, ‘lena ? ’
