It’s human nature to compare.

“Ahh, it’s so unfair, you’re already done and just need to present tomorrow.” “Ours is so much harder.” “Yours is way easier, just a few pages.” “Imagine, we did it while juggling exams and papers.”

I get it. Everyone has their own struggle, and I never invalidated anyone’s. I know how hard it is, and I truly respect what each of you went through. But one thing’s for sure ... I never wished that kind of struggle upon anyone.

Still, sometimes it feels like we’re being blamed for having it easier , as if we didn’t work hard, as if our effort doesn’t count just because our situation was different. It’s funny, but also kind of sad. We all carried our own loads, just in different ways. So maybe instead of comparing, we can just say, “Hey, we all made it through.”

be thankful when you go home and find food. I live in a house where I have to worry if there will even be food when I go home or wake up. I was forced to be mature early cuz of that so please, be grateful, because not everyone gets to go home to a meal on the table
