Introduction
Michael Robert Gallant Arsenault is a mixed media artist based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from OCAD University on June 17, 2022, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts: Drawing and Painting; Digital Painting and Expanded Animation Degree.
Michael experiments with traditional and digital techniques of paintings, animations, photography and videos. He admires both classic, modern, experimental and avant-garde cinema; animated shorts and feature-length films he cites as influences for his work. Including works from his favourite filmmakers and animators that influence him. His main interests include painting, watching movies, playing video games, hanging out with friends and spending time with his family, dogs & cat. He also identifies himself as an individual who's extremely interested in drawing anthropomorphic animals, given human traits and acting out in various modern social settings. He cites cartoons and other animations from his childhood and onward as a build up to his main interest.
He continues to work on his profession and hopes to achieve his dream of becoming an animator or filmmaker someday.
