The YF-12 interceptor – not the SR-71. It was the fastest of the Blackbirds, rated for Mach 3.35. The USAF ordered 93 of them, but all except three were canceled.

Fun fact about the SR-71: The heat generated by the engines was so great that the parts around them were spaced so they would fit properly after heat expansion. This meant that fueling up on the ground was messy as fuel would just kinda fall onto the ground below the aircraft until all parts were warmed up.
