I took some long exposure photographs at the fair in Santa Barbara last night. I'm happy with how they came out. Get out there and go to a fair, get on the rides, try and win huge toys. You'll feel like a kid in 3, 2, 1.
Here are samples from my shoot Flickr Page

Arrancame El Miedo / Take Away My Fear, Ed. 11/40 1998, Photogravure w/ bitumen 32 x 32 in.
The artwork of Louis Gonzalez-Palma was at MACLA (Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana) in San Jose.
When I first saw the photograph Arrancame El Miedo I was reminded of the copper photographs of Edward Curtis. Then noticed brushstrokes on the surface of the photograph. These photographs were coated in an emulsion of pigment probably in an acrylic medium. The effect in person is remarkably moody and stunning.
Perhaps he left the script in the original pigment color across the forehead of the subject.
A fantastic concept, artist and gallery in the heart of San Jose.
Stephen King’s 20 Rules for Writers
There’s a lot of lists on the internet, most self-gratifying attempts of marketers to lure you to their sites and “products.” This is practically on point! A list all creatives and productive people should follow.
A few years ago I gave up TV for a New Years Resolution and I noticed my guitar playing, my artwork lifting in quality and the speed I was learning songs, etc. Learning, challenging myself was addicting. I noticed as I kept with it for 4-5 years that our brains can become passive with the TV on, but even when its off. Our brains begin sparking and can accelerate when we let them work to fill dead space.

Iris. 24x36 oil on stretched canvas. ©Accorsi Studios. 2010.
Contact our studio to inquire about this work Email Studio.
I painted this Iris for my kitchen in 2010, it was winter, feeling kind of drab as it can rain here in Northern California for months on end. (although not this winter).
I can't count the number of times I walked into the kitchen, smiled back to this painting. It is here in this little story that demonstrates the beauty of art.
Artists create something, from something - emotions, inspiration, love, pain, and we can bring new life to our lives. I'm ready to market this painting and let it go as there is a new one to take its place.
Send me an email about picking it up for your wall to bring joy to your home.
La Bellezza della Toscana (The Beauty of Tuscany)
I have put together a few paintings and sketches from travels to Tuscany from 2008. Today, I decided a return trip and additional paintings are in the works this summer.

My family and I spent a vacation together in Montalcino during the summer of 2007. Each morning I would wake up before the full sunrise to walk to capture the beautiful landscape of Montalcino and its vineyards while it too was still sleeping. The only movement were the old ladies making breads in the dimly lit bakery. Along the ridge near the Rocca di Montalcino fortress at the top of the town, I would sit and sketch privately for hours. The colors of the landscape seemed to be more brilliant before the hot Tuscan sun bleeched their hue. Trees seemed to be red, orange and violet at their base. The fields a cool blue and olive vermillion. The distant mountains were violet and light blue in the distance. The floor of the valley beneath Montalcino looked as if it were a quilt of yellow, olive, and orange patches woven together with light rises of hills in between.

Did this watercolor sketch drinking a Brunello, overlooking this farmhouse/vineyard. Such a relaxing and calming town to stay. I have 3 renditions of this painting. Framed with a wide matt looks fanastic for your home.
