Newfound Passion for Fashion
I wrote this for a fashion blogger’s project, so I thought I’d post it here! Any blog related posts I will probably post here, and I was even thinking of making a personalized Fashion Tumblr soon to go with my Fashion Instagram :)

"What is a dream that keeps you from giving up?"
A dream that keeps me from giving up is one that runs through the back of my mind on the daily. One where I would have a professional photographer who would love to take my photos. One where I would receive supportive or advice-seeking emails from fans. One where hundreds of thousands of followers are looking forward to my next post. One where companies would be honored to sponsor me, not the only way around. The dream that I have is to become a famous fashion blogger, featured in various store photoshoots and posing on the cover of Seventeen magazine.
It’s funny because you would think that I was never the type of person to want this aspiration if you looked or talked to me. I love to dance hip hop three times per week with my competitive adult hip hop team, VIPSJ. I am currently studying for the GRE before I obtain my Master’s in Food Sciences or Nutrition, which will eventually lead to becoming a Registered Dietitian. Where and when did fashion come into play? I’m not sure. I guess I realized that after college, I felt a bit lost with all of the free time that I had so I decided to explore other options. Well, I always knew that I wanted to dress better, but never felt like I had the motivation or skill to do so. I literally needed a stylist for myself, but knew how ridiculous that sounded as a young, fresh post-graduate from UCSC. However, I discovered my newfound passion for fashion when I started my fashion account in March 2015. The truth is...I knew that I was an unhealthy shopaholic, one who would buy a massive haul of clothes but rarely wear them out. And instead, I would bum it out in a college sweatshirt with matching college sweatpants whenever I went out. Attractive, I know. But by creating a Fashion Instagram, I used this account as an incentive to post or use my fashionable clothes to their fullest potential versus hiding them in a closet, never to be worn. And to my surprise, I hit it off. Two months in and almost 2,000 followers. If anything, I would assume I would have less than 500 followers. Life is sure full of surprises. The best part was that this newfound hobby of mine has taken a positive toll on my life and has become more influential in my life than I ever thought it would be. I only made room for more happiness and friendships ever since the creation of my fashion page. I was able to become a sponsor for two companies, @rocksbox and @shoplacle. I had friends and even strangers offering to take my pictures in order to help spice up my fashion page. I personally met girls who I would have never knew existed. I had the honor of being invited to an exclusive fashion blogger party in Downtown San Francisco. So many things have happened because of @missmisschelle on Instagram, and I couldn’t be happier. I am so grateful for all of the people that I’ve conversed with and met via Instagram, and cannot wait for what the future has in store for me! :)
