the silent sea was so close to being very very good! imo it just flubbed everything at the literal last 10 minutes (!!) when every sacrifice & death felt so unnecessary. the other deaths felt avoidable but they also fit the personality & situation so it could be forgiven, but at the very end it felt like things were done to draw an emotional response without having any substance behind it. but it was still such a good series, I will simply make up my own ending and pretend That was not what happened

I agree about the deaths at the ending. Like why did Captain die? How did he get all the way over there?? He should have lived, or at least have a death that made more sense.

I just finished it, 8 episodes at first. My first reaction was.. come on. Don’t be like Kingdom and end abruptly. After viewing the show 8 episodes was enough, and I don’t think it needs a season 2. Maybe, if they were to do it. The ending does leave that choice to revisit and tell another chapter. However, I like the ending and it’s a good run. You can easily re watch this again.

any fans of Sci Fi will enjoy this tv drama / thriller. Don’t be surprise if there isn’t a season 2 for ‘The Silent Sea'

K dramas show are very limited which works, they give you enough story / content. Most shows you are satisfied with the ending, you are cool with it. Part of the reason why I have enjoyed a lot of K shows and movies. They don’t do crazy sequels and milk the brand to the point of boredom.

You don’t really need a follow up to this show, although I said the at stuff a moment ago. I wouldn’t mind revisiting for a season 2 and see where they left off from.

Loved it, hope you lot enjoy watching the show as well.
