hi im tzion and i have another Horrible Boy

my pen was freaking the fuck out the entire time so dont judge me on it being bad drawing i just wanted to get his basic design down AND I DID tho i might change it a little here and there

uhhhh still undecided on the plot but it’s like a desert city in an alternate version of earth ... it takes place in one of those cities where it’s not a huge city but there’s a lot of tall buildings and it’s a perpetual summer-at-7pm-when-the-sun-isn’t-setting-but-it’s-getting-there (earth’s rotation stopped or something? i dont know) so like ... that effect where you’re in shadow but it’s still bright enough to see everything and the sun flows in through alleys between buildings and whatever

ANYWAY uhhh daenerys is an Eternal which is a ‘sub-species of human’, as the official information puts it, except they’re not at all, they’re godlike beings who have been squished down into a human-sized form and stripped of most of their power by ... whoever. they all have an anklet, two bracelets, and a spinal tap called Suffocators that keep them from ascending back into their normal god form. unfortunately for humans, every Eternal keeps at least a little of their power though said power isn’t typically strong enough to hurt the officers tasked with making sure they dont cause any mischief, especially since the officers wear anti-Eternal clothing/vests/whatever to keep themselves safe. though Eternals can usually still kill one here or there if they wanted to but they’re a largely peaceful species, or were before their capture, so only the ones that have turned their back on their pacifist ways even attempt such a thing

daenerys (absolutely nothing to do with that dragon lady) is on the run bc he escaped his previous holding cell deep underground like 500 miles out into the desert. im still undecided on what exactly happens after that but a human boy named ilija (ILL-ee-yuh) spots him being led away by anti-Eternal officers, daenerys takes the chance to link their minds, ilija is in a coma for like ten days because of it, but once he wakes up he goes and finds daenerys and helps break him out (which is a shock for daenerys because like that mind-meld literally should have killed ilija)

blah blah blah they fall in love daenerys saves ilija’s ass from, idk, anti-eternal officers and the government and, like, other, meaner Eternals, and like monsters and bad guys. idk. it’s cute and great and once daenerys gets the suffocators off he can grow back to full-size which is like probably planetary but he keeps it at a manageable like skyscraper-size

the black things are ribbons which can be soft or as hard as cement, razor-edged if he wants them to be, etc, they come out of thin air behind his back (or anywhere around him, he can place their origin point anywhere) and they’re, like, his thing. eternals tend to have powers that are unique to them, each one is different and the anti-eternal officers hate it because it means their outfits might not work for the next eternal they come across although they have a pretty good database on the ones that exist. fortunately for them, like i said, most eternals are pacifists, but daenerys isn’t one of them, so,

general feel of his canon is -- alternate version of liiiike 2005 i wanna say where shoah (holocaust) was averted and therefore much more advances on the science and technology front. everything is p much steampunk and solarpunk, running on solar energy. so like really tall buildings, teenagers and young adults are put to work in dangerous conditions, body mods (like special prosthetics) are valued more than learning to live with what you’ve got, yiddish anarchosyndicalist culture is a HUGE thing like it was in 1900-1930 (think Triangle Shirtwaist Factory incident), and shamash is the messiah that eight young jewish adults set out to summon. when he arrives finally at the climax of the book he puts off so much natural light that everything is powered for centuries LOL. thus leading to ... complications. anyway he can’t really speak english so that’s an interesting time. i adore my hebrew boy

the expression meme was fun bc uhhhh long story short tomer’s (sort-of) siblings transferred his soul into a new body without asking him and the new body is the size of like ... a fuckin fairy and so tomer is PISSED bc they just ‘assumed’ he’d want a more humanoid body (his previous one was a security drone which the person he was living with transferred his soul into bc he had just died a second ago) but didn’t actually ask
