IBM, on the other hand, only has a small line of @IBM inviting us to its Twitter.

The Facebook page gets a lot of likes, but not many people were interacting.

The channel gets customers involved through Twitter and is actively trying to get people involved by having the food truck travel to different events around the U.S.

Recommendations for Microsoft's Facebook Page
Microsoft's Facebook strategy is not terrible. But they do have too many posts that are blatantly advertisements. Instead, they should focus more on posts that get their followers involved with the page, such as this one below.
Recommendations for IBM's Facebook Page
IBM's current Facebook page is scattered tidbits with no structure. They should have recurring weekly updates, such as one day focusing on fun facts and another day focusing on IBM Watson updates. This will allow for more focus on specific aspects of the company, and will gain more loyal viewers (as they will expect an update every week).
