Hello! How are you? Do you happen to know if there any connection between the shape of the was sceptre and the sha animals tail? I just noticed that they were both forked and wondered (:

Oddly enough I haven’t seen terribly many people comment on the end of the was scepter, perhaps because the most popular version lacks the forked end, but the scepter is so clearly associated with Set. 

You can see when they paint the scepter to be less of an inanimate object it is modeled to look like Seth. 

But for the forked bit, it woudln’t suprise me if the variant was was referencing the sha-tail or the other way around. Some egyptologists have thought the same too. But with staffs. I’m not sure if this means the was-scepter is taking the staff bit or the sha bit at heart. I don’t really know the timeline of occult item fashions. 

However, I personally think his tail is representing the forked staff, versus the was scepter because of these panels. 

But again, I don’t really know the timing of these items to give you an answer I’d bet money on. 

Seth’s tail variations often represent weapons, actually.So if it did (set’s fork tail) represent the was scepter it wouldn’t suprise me.
