THIS IS SO ACCURATE THOUGH??? WHAT THE FUCK???
Members of the Wichita, Kan., police department spent Sunday afternoon eating and talking with people from the community, at a cookout that was planned with the local Black Lives Matter group.
The event was called the First Steps Community Cookout — a reference to its goal of bridging the gap between police and the community they serve. Taking place instead of a protest that had been planned for Sunday, the cookout came about after Wichita Police Chief Gordon Ramsay had a lengthy meeting with activist A.J. Bohannon and other members of the local Black Lives Matter movement.

Distorted and haunting, his work reveals his deep concern for the human condition in society – and how he feels that something needs to change. Although the viewer is both repulsed and fascinated by the gut-wrenching hyperrealist sculptures of human bodies, Xoo Ang’s mastery of the art and eye for detail right down to the smallest vein is remarkable and reminds of the intricate work of Ron Mueck. As well as being hyperrealist, the artist’s work is also surrealist and is charged with existential questions.

Every time I hear someone say bisexuals/pansexuals are "just confused” I think
“well yeah I mean I guess I am pretty confused about taxes and like… how giraffe spines work.”
Giraffe spines are supported by some of the strongest muscles in any mammal, which not only give structural support but also aid in blood circulation, like a giant compression sock. Giraffe hearts are also, pound for pound, one of the strongest in the world, having to pump blood against gravity so high up. Fun fact: giraffes can’t vomit due to the sheer length of their necks, which also means they’re better at smelling toxins and bad fruit than almost any other animal.
Well I guess now I’m just confused about taxes.

Do you think regular dogs see police dogs and think “oh shit, it’s a cop”
What to do if you suddenly find yourself homeless
FOOD
Find your nearest food bank or mission, for food
grocery stores with free samples, bakeries + stores with day-old bread
different fast food outlets have cheaper food and will generally let you hang out for a while.
some dollar stores carry food like cans of beans or fruit
SHELTER
Sleeping at beaches during the day is a good way to avoid suspicion and harassment
sleep with your bag strapped to you, so someone can’t steal it
Some churches offer short term residence
Find your nearest homeless shelter
Look for places that are open to the public
A large dumpster near a wall can often be moved so that flipping up the lids creates an angled shelter to stay dry
HYGIENE
A membership to the YMCA is usually only 10$, which has a shower, and sometimes laundry machines and lockers.
Public libraries have bathrooms you can use
Dollar stores carry low-end soaps and deodorant etc.
Wet wipes are all purpose and a life saver
Local beaches, go for a quick swim
Some truck stops have showers you can pay for
Staying clean is the best way to prevent disease, and potentially get a job to get back on your feet
Pack 7 pairs of socks/undies, 2 outfits, and one hooded rain jacket
OTHER
first aid kit
sunscreen
a travel alarm clock or watch
mylar emergency blanket
a backpack is a must
downgrade your cellphone to a pay as you go with top-up cards
sleeping bag
travel kit of toothbrush, hair brush/comb, mirror
swiss army knife
can opener
