Fun Lines from the Brazilian Portuguese Dub!
(*Disclaimer: My native language is English. I am learning Brazilian Portuguese, but I am not fluent. I have tried hard to verify all the translations but if I made any mistakes please be understanding and let me know about it!)
Don't You Forget (Reprise)
Eng: "You're on my string"
Br-Pt: "Você é meu" ("You are mine")
(Br-Pt!Vox was probably even more ecstatic with this line!)
---
Vox: "So I'll keep your smug ass alive to-"
Eng: "To show me you're not a loser?"
Br-Pt: "Te ver perder de novo?" ("To watch you lose again?")
(I like how Alastor taunts him like this in Br-Pt)
So just a small thing, but due to the pronunciation of Br-Pt, Valentino's name is pronounced like "Valen-chee-no"
(Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pzYQapXWl0 around 0:17, credit to video owner)
(Another thing I want to add, is while Val's VA's voice feels too deep compared to the Eng one, I still love the energy he brings to it!)
Eng: "You're my little Shok.wav!"
Br-Pt: "Vocé é meu Shokinho.wav!"
The translation itself is the same but instead of saying "little", the diminutive form is used, adding "-inho" to made it pronounced "Shock-een-yo-wave". It's like "-ito" in Spanish if you're familiar with that! And it can mean something is small or it can add affection to the word.
(Also the VA understood the assignment of putting affection in Vox's voice for this scene. Here is a clip (credit to the owner), Portuguese is at 0:35: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZhpU8UYY4o)
Vox also uses this again in Ep8 in his battle with Alastor!
Eng: "Shok.wav! :D"
Br-Pt: "Shokinho~! ^-^ <3"
Eng!Vox's tone is excited, Br-Pt!Vox's tone is both excited and bursting with affection! It is 100% worth listening to, it's adorable!

4. S2 Ep5 Lucifer in Vox Populi
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDB-HyrwHjQ)
(Love Luci's VA for this song! "Sou a serpente" ("I'm the serpent") is one of my favorite parts, along with "Eu sou sinistro!")
Eng: "So scheme all you want, Mr. TV-Head Man"
Br-Pt: "O que vai fazer, TVzinha lerda?" ("What are you going to do, *slow little TV?" (*"slow" as in foolish)
Again, we have the use of a diminutive form, "-zinha", though this time it's clearly used in the form of "small" and not affectionately, as a way to put Vox down, minimize him.
Eng: "Woow. Suuper scary"
Br-Pt: "Ai, que medinho"
I believe "Que medo" is along the lines of "How scary" but someone please confirm that for me. Regardless, "medo" means "fear", and again we see the "-inho" diminutive used to mock and minimize the target (this time Lucifer).
You Didn't Know (Canadian French)
(First of all, I love Emily's VA here)
Eng:
Emily: "Wait!"
Adam: "Shit"
Fr:
Emily: "Quoi?" ("What?")
Adam: "SHIT!"
(Fr!Adam is so dramatically loud here for no reason and I find it very amusing!)
1:29 of the video also has an interesting translation of the line, credit goes to the uploader of the video for translating
A few of my other favorite song dubs I recommend are: Poison in Italian & Latin American Spanish, Loser Baby in Italian, You Didn't Know in Latin American Spanish, Brighter in Brazilian Portuguese & German
