My role as the best friend : Exposition
"My role as the best friend" is a otome isekai I try to write to basically put my own spin to reverse harem within their universe and ours.
The heroine, Chiemi, get transmigrated to a reverse harem "Tenshi no Kokoro" with what you'd usually expect from it. Contrary to many heroines of otome isekai, the MC actually want to try to go home and it's what will drive her to make effort at least for the beginning of the story.
It's very similar to Beware of the Villainess and Kill the Villainess who are also my favorite otome isekai but I already had similar feelings shown in these stories before to get into otome isekai at all.
If the story point out narrative choice I don't like, there's also a celebration of a reverse harem heroine kindness and the fact that kindness in itself doesn't make you foolish, it's getting self sacrificial the issue, which a lot of romance make the heroine do for the sake of her male love interest.
Male love interest... they get put under a microscope too, especially the archetype of the dominant alpha male.
But see enough of the men because it's a story also focusing on the MC and the OG heroine and her love story. Chiemi and Kokoro, the OG Heroine, have very different view of life making their relationship have tension and up and down.
Like many otome isekai there's also magic through mana but I try to work on this aspect because it won't stay in the background forever.
I struggled to find a fitting beginning but I think I have everything in order to do it. I'll try to post more about it to be more confident about it.

Currently writing it on my first language. I wait to be in the part I like the most which will make it easier to write for me. The beginning introduce the magic, the characters, and the dynamic between Chiemi and Kokoro.
I should post more trivia about them in the future.
