When I was in middle school, I took commissions from classmates for drawings of Spongebob characters for about a quarter a pop.  It was one of my first forays into “professional” cartooning, and only a small example of the monumental impact of this plucky underwater sponge.  

I know I’m not alone in believing that the show has left an indelible mark on the face of cartoon and internet history, and its aftershock will continue for many years.  

Rest in Peace, Stephen Hillenburg.  Thanks for the good times.

I once reblogged a post about how a women’s bathroom was an important place of refuge, and that was why women often go to the bathroom in groups or to cry and why people leave those domestic abuse cards in women’s bathrooms, and how it’s the one place women can be away from men, and I was like “this is a fantastic post, yes” and then I found out the OP was a TERF and that post was suddenly no longer about safety in women’s restrooms. It was actually about wanting to make it impossible for trans women to pee in a public restroom. It was about making trans women seem like they invade a sacred place and make it dangerous. You bet your ass I deleted that reblog.

i saw my own post on my dash for the first time so here’s some explaination:

1. “The foos are fighting now until 10pm” is dad’s way of telling me “foo fighters are on austin city limits for a full hour”

2. he does not call me pops he calls himself pops and he signed the text

3. he types in shorthand and uses as little punctuation as possible hence the “baked tater”

4. to this day he’s rly proud of this. i told him he has 180k notes and he giggles and says, “what was my line again?” and i tell him, “don’t like that pic” and he gets a kick out of it

Hey I hate to be that person but like, do you guys see how Damien flinches and makes a slightly disturbed face when Shayne comes close to him in the Smosh is Homeless video (the gif everyone throws around). I know he doesn't like being touched without knowing beforehand, so it's probably that. Idk, it's just something I noticed.

i think he was surprised to see shayne more than anything? like he wasn’t expecting it so it made him jump, i don’t think it was anything more than that :-) to be fair no one can know for sure, but considering how touchy and close they are in general, i don’t think he’d be uncomfortable with shayne being close! shayne popped up next to him suddenly and it must’ve scared him for a second, but i don’t think there’s any resentment or anything like that

okay so i watched the bit again and damien immediately relaxes when he sees that it’s shayne and not some random person and they do that thing where they have a conversation just between the two of them like, forgetting the fact that they’re filming for a second, so i assume damien is fine :,)
