What is the difference between Mink and Silk individual false eyelashes? Most of the common individual false eyelashes available on the market are made from synthetic or PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate), so typically they are plastic fibers. So many people want to know how to differentiate between Mink and Silk eyelash extensions and why is it important to know the difference between these two common types. Mink eyelash is a little bit shinier and glossier than the silk eyelash so it looks more dramatic. Generally, the Mink eyelash is curlier than Silk eyelash since Mink the curl starting from 1/3pf the taper with strong curl. There are some manufacturers though, that produce their mink eyelashes with curl starting from 2/3 of the taper to mimic mink hair's natural curl.
