I learned how to glitch images by using text edit. The results can be interesting
In my Research class, we had to make projects based on a specific place of our choosing. I picked N & G Produce, a small grocery store with a great selection of reasonably priced produce. I chose to focus specifically on the kiwifruit and how it ended up in this place. The fruit actually originated in China and and was only called 'kiwi' when New Zealand decided to grow it as an export. The fruits I was purchasing were grown in Chile. They started growing them sometime around the 1970s.
I decided to present my information by screen printing (a process that also originated in China). I hand cut stencils of maps and printed onto the paper bags you receive when you buy smaller produce. I chose to use earthy colors that resonated with the kiwifruit. Then I mapped out the historical trade routes that kiwifruit would have traveled by gluing individual seeds onto the printed bags to form lines.
The final stage of our project was to reinsert our objects or video/sound files back into the place. These two photographs are my final documentation.
Progress so far

Time to use the mortar
I finished the background, leaving the corners to be filled with stones
1: tile haul. We filled an entire cart with tiles that were going to be scrapped and recycled for being ‘broken’ or the last few of their kind 2: after placing the border of assorted 2”x 2” tiles, I started to smash and cut tiles. I decided it would be easier to create the mosaic on a board and then mount the board to the wall in panels 3: I drew out the design directly on the board and began to place tile fragments 4: a view from above. I try to take a picture from this view at the end of every day 5: my work shop is in the garage 6: after I placed the tiles of the eight points, I cemented them down with thin set mortar. Then I started to place the background tiles

Could be more overwhelming if they went off into the distance a bit more. With more squares inside the innermost squares
