Storms don’t last for ever. The wind is finally slowing down, after 3 intense days with very strong winds. In some villages around the islands did a lot of damage. Some coast roads are covered with water, wood, rocks. Soccer ground covered with rocks, broken lights... the list goes on. Now you see it and now you don’t. 🙈🙉 That small “island/rock” close the the coast was Bombarded with massive waves for 2 days straight. 🌊 This location is just few minutes away from my appartment in Tórshavn. I basicaly drove at this spot and set in my car waiting for the rain to stop, putting down the window and take some pictures when the waves crash. Such a spetacular show.... Tórshavn, the Capital City of the Faroe Islands. Has about 20.000 people living here. The surroundings are mountains, islands and the Atlantic ocean. I get to call this City home for the past 12 years now and I have scene some amazing sunsets and sunrises. If you are visiting the Faroe Islands probably you will visit the beautiful City as well. Total whiteout at the most iconic spot on the Faroe Islands. It was a challenge to walk those 300m from the road. Thick layer of snow reaching up to my knee in some areas.
