Trust and try your best not to falter. Keep the faith!
“Never overestimate your audience’s knowledge and never underestimate their intelligence.” - Glenn Frank
Speech Content: It is known in Speech that speaking beyond the wavelength of your audience is a sin (through jargon, language, etc.)
Similarly, underestimating your audience’s intelligence is also a sin. They’re looking for something worth knowing and listening to. They’re looking for a “take-home”. They’re looking for AHAs throughout your speech.
If we can’t provide “meat” to our message, then we’re just wasting their time.
Solution: Research not just your topic but your audience as well.

Did you know that Impression and Attention of listeners to the speaker fall upon these numbers:
55% Body Language (Gestures, Movement, Nonverbal Comm.)
38% Delivery of the Message (Organization, Tone, Pitch, Flow)
7% Verbal (Content)
So yes, even if you’re perfect with what you wanna say but fail on either 1 of the above, it won’t be as effective as it should be.
That is why how you say it is as important as what you’re saying. It’s not enough that you believe in the idea, it’s also important that you’re able to serve the purpose of why you want to convey your message.
PS. It is with the assumption that you've prepared your content well. Delivery without content is even worse. The rule only applies with the intention of keeping the impression and attention of the audience.
