micah robbins was born to two loving and doting parents in chicago, il. they gave micah their constant attention and in their minds, she could do no wrongÂ
she had one older brother who didn't get nearly the amount of attention that micah did, but he was just along for the rideÂ
when she was 3, they moved from chicago to new jersey because of her dad's job. he was taking over one of the main offices and it had them living on the nicer side of asbury parkÂ
while her dad worked a lot, her mom started putting micah in pageants. her talent was singing and she won several crowns. she definitely could have been on toddlers and tiara, but thankfully it didn't come out until she was too old for itÂ
almost every weekend she was dressed up in glittery, sparkly dresses, covered in make-up, wearing fake teeth and hair pieces, and she had her team of people making sure she looked fabulous to walk that stageÂ
and she hated it. she would always resist, but her mom would win out in the end. she would say she was just preparing her for life because beauty gets you farther than anything else in this world.Â
when she was 11 years old, she was arguing with her mom while they were on the way to one of her pageants. she was screaming about how she didn't want to do it and being an all around brat about it when her mom turned around to get onto her and [ TW CAR ACCIDENT AND DEATH ] didn't see the 18-wheeler swerving into her lane and hit their car. her mom died on impact, but micah walked away with several scratches, bruises, and a broken wristÂ
she blamed herself for what happened. if she had just been obedient, her mom would still be there.Â
because of this, she started dressing in all black as a way of mourning, and she never really stopped. that has become the wardrobe of her choiceÂ
and she started acting out, staying out all night, hanging out with the wrong crowd, full blown rebelling to try to cope with her loss and guilt
during all of this, her dad was devastated. he didn't know how to deal with anything that was happening and turned to [[ TW ALCOHOLISM ]] the bottle to cope.Â
micah watched her dad basically slip into nothingness. he lost his job, they lost their home and had to move out to the bad side of asburyÂ
at this point, micah's older brother was pretty much the one taking care of her more than anything, but he was young himself, so it was a case of babies raising babiesÂ
both micah and her brother got into some petty crime to try to keep food on the table and keep from being homelessÂ
micah was arrested a few times, but never for anything substantial, so she didn't get too much of a record, but the police definitely know her by nameÂ
her brother got heavier into crime, though and has had some major arrests [ wanted connection ]Â
as micah got into this darker world, her interests got darker too. she was into the supernatural and true crime and all kinds of things like that. she realized that she actually loved learning about those kinds of things and doing research and looking for little known cases, so she is now studying journalism and has plans to start a true crime podcast
