why should i stay? [ makoto && leon ]

"…do you mind if I recover from the last one first?" Makoto says half-jokingly. Most of him was completely serious, though. This had been a very sudden turn of events. He also doesn’t want to lead Leon on, and that had been a little too intimate for comfort. He also has to get his own feelings in order.

"It was just really sudden, you see, and I need to get a grip on everything that’s happening first." Honest, just like his name told everyone about him. "And also, I feel like we just made a really big leap in our relationship anyhow — I feel like maybe we should let that settle until we’re both totally comfortable with the situation at hand." Makoto doesn’t want to say outright that the feelings aren’t reciprocated — mostly because now, he has to actually figure that out.

"Sorry for putting you in a position to do that. It was really mean of me. I hope you’ll forgive me," he says, shuffling in position and criss-crossing his leg. He starts untying his left shoe. "Uh…do you have a place where I should put my shoes?" Makoto considers his own organizational skills. "Wait. Is today Tuesday?"

Leon felt his heart drop at Makoto's reply. Of course he doesn't like you like that, idiot..Leon scolded himself, He wouldn't want you on him like that. You were too fuckin' bold, you got too ahead of yourself...Nonetheless, Leon tried to keep his head up and bottled his emotions up. It was just an experiment, he didn't actually like Makoto, he just wanted to know how those lips felt pressed against his own...Leon inhaled and exhaled, trying to cool his nerves as he sub-consciously ran his hand down his hair.

"Alright, I understand, Makoto.." However, that reply didn't sound like Leon at all. The teen cleared his throat and straightened himself out, "My head's all jumbled up and confused, anyways. I don't know what's wrong with me either, so we're sorta on the same track--It was no biggie, really. I was just over-reactin' and all and everythin' turned up into this and--Wow, we should just sorta calm down from today's events, right?" He couldn't talk about what happened without the feeling of rejection and, even more foreign, the feeling of self-hatred eat him up from the inside out. He tried his best to ignore the negative emotions and pulled his billion-dollar smile upon his lips once more.

"Just promise me that you won't turn on me later on, alright? I promise I won't backstab you, no matter what happens." Then, to conclude the day, Leon stood up and stretched, "Over by the door, with the rest of our shoes, I guess. I'll set up some kind of bed for you." Leon turned to face his bed and, at the question of what day it was, he paused to think. "...Yeah, today's Tuesday." Then, grinning once more, he turned his head towards Makoto's direction, "Hey, I forgot to say that you could call me Leon, huh? I was wondering why the whole atmosphere was so weird..Me callin' you Makoto and you not saying my name in reply and shit..man." He chuckled to himself as he stripped his bed of one blanket and a pillow. Would this be enough for Makoto?

"Hey," He called out, trying to grab the brunet's attention once more, "Are you really sure you don't want my bed? I'll be comfortable on the floor, y'know..."

Honestly, I was thinking that maybe I should dis-continue this roleplay since we're dead and all and everyone's really busy.

But there's like, a few guys still active and we've already established like a main plot point. I don't really want to drop any of you guys out on like that and I wrote a shit ton for this rp so its like why should I drop it y'know.

If you guys want me to drop this roleplay, I can drop it. Or if you guys have an indie rp account, we can move there and tag everything under Despairs as #despairsacademy but that'd be very messy and all.

I'm at the point where I'll just kick all our inactive members our and fish in some new ones--Or I'll ask for a new admin since I'm very indecisive and that's one of the most horrible admin traits out there.

I have no idea what to do with this roleplay though and I sorta need suggestions and tips if we wanna continue on?

He watches Leon slowly crumble in front of him and he begins to wonder if he did something terribly wrong.

"That’s a shame, too," Makoto says wistfully, looking at the now-crying redhead on the bed. "You deserve to be told that you’re not a failure, because you’re not. Your parents should have looked out for you." He smiles up at him, watching Leon’s movements as he moves off the bed.

Makoto finds himself wrapped in a warm embrace, the other person’s head against his neck. He gently wraps his own arms around the figure, rubbing his back. “Of course I believe you,” he says soothingly, hugging him tighter. He finds himself pushed away and stared at.

Makoto sighs, and smiles wearily. “Sometimes, Kuwata, I forget that the entire world isn’t against me,” he responds, shaking his head. “No, I’m not. I’m sorry I even suggested it; that was really stupid.” He glances over to the side and picks up the bag of chips, handing them to Leon. “Here, you can have the rest. And, since you know so much about me now…you can call me Makoto if you want.” He plays with his zipper again. “And as far as your — advance, earlier, just…please ask next time, okay?”
