K, let me explain why the sexuality matters. The LGBT community are strongly oppressed by a lot of people. We don’t get a lot of GOOD representation as heterosexual couples in the mainstream media. That’s why we often write/draw same sex pairings in fandoms. We just want to see people like us on TV or in movies, but since we don’t usually get that, we make them up. Then, when we get a canon lesbian who is being shipped with a guy, that’s when we get upset because she’s one of the few LGBT characters that we can love and enjoy who’s having her sexuality be forgotten or ignored. This is really common with lesbians in real life. A lot of people are quick to say “oh you’re just confused,” or “you just haven’t met the right guy yet.” They are sick and tired of hearing such bullshit, and they simply want character they can project onto. That is why her sexuality is an important factor in this conversation, and that’s why it needs to be known that JANE THE KILLER IS A LESBIAN! STOP SHIPPING HER WITH MEN!!!

Also like, none of the other Creepypasta characters have canon sexuality as far as we know. Unless the creator straight up states what it is, these characters are up for grabs.

I see your POV, I get it. LGBTQ+ people arent as represented and to see someone who is lgbt get change sucks, but I stand by the opinion that if you can change the sexuality of straight characters for the sake of a ship, I feel you can do the same for any character of any sexuality. And that not everything has to be put through a lens of representation, especially if the characters are fictional. I respect what you have to say, and some parts I agree with. But I just dont share the same viewpoint.
