Definition of the term "shounen"

Hi everyone good day!!! i hope u all have been in good health

Today i wanted to discuss a term with you..by the headline u understand what it is

Yes,i wanted to talk about the word shounen...many ppl have a wrong interpretation of this whole "shounen cannot have mlm main pairings strictly bc it's shounen" this proves that what wrong info ppl have in the term shounen and exactly what kind of SHOUNEN is "Ons" ...so let's start ( this post is not meant to harm anyone ..this post is for those who does not understand what the term shounen means and don't attack me without knowing the aim of this post. Ok?)

OnS- a story that is not tagged under the terms of yaoi and shounen-ai, but under shounen. To begin with, "shounen" is a demography NOT A GENRE, which means that it includes many different genres. The romantic sub-genres i mentioned are also shounen, bc the general characteristics is that it is directed to a teenage (usually male ) audience. Yaoi represents LGBT+ characters generally in the traditional passive-active dynamic, many of these works are aimed at female audiences for visual aesthetic purposes but the story cannot go away from the Romantic or sexual focus.

On the other hand, shounen as a demography can include a lot of sub-genes,so it's content is not so strict. This makes possible for a war-like manga like OnS to have moments of pure action,comedy and romance. Bc "war" and "vampires" is not specifically a genre but a topic. And the topic of OnS ( which is not same as the argument) is love. Love in every expression. Guren's love for shinya and squad, sibling love ( krul-ashera), family and friendly love ( hyakuya children and shinoa squad), fatherly love ( sikama- mika), romantic love ( yu-mika) this does not mean OnS manga is Romantic, bc in narratology,the "topic" is defined as that which the plot needs to develop. Love is what moves the characters even yaoi mangas can deal with other topics than love, such as Given( overcoming the death of a loved one , Personal growth). Mikayuu in that sense is perfectly possible and admissible in shounen

It's just the focus is on a slow-burn plot with a military context magic etc, to make it entertaining and to embrace fans with diverse interests, which is great! Mikayuu has been attracting 85-90% of the fandom for yrs, a lot of daily contents are created every day, and expectations are high. It doesn't come out of nowhere: the story turns around them, even it wasn't romantic love from beginning, this allowed them to develop! Mikayuu is a semi-canonical couple in a non-romantic shounen! ( mika's confession, ch 90 ) . And this is a fact. And if u don't know about the manga named "Ao no flag" it's under the demongraphy of shounen but it's end main pairing is mlm pair so there goes "impossible for mlm pairs in shounen" out the window..#MIKAYUU canon

There are no such guidelines for reading OnS like "u can only read this manga for plot and nothing else" dude characters ArE the plot! Without character story how can a plot come to existence? 🤷‍♀️ ppl are using their own internet connection to read OnS so let them read for whatever reason they are reading it for ( their reason , their headache not ur's) no one can say to anyone to just fucking leave reading Ons bc they don't want other ppl to read it for any other purpose except "PlOt" which sounds hilarious and makes them sound a fool...so enjoy urself and let others enjoy it as well..ok?
