I think I’m actually gonna call it quits for inktober for this year. I find myself feeling frustrated trying to finish drawings in a day and not having time to practice the basics I want to. So back into hiding in my private account for now ^^;;
So I was originally thinking “flowing” would be a waterfall or something with water - but then I realized that you can have wonderfully “flowing” hair so I did this instead. I don’t really “get” how to make very long flowing motions that are connected, though. You might notice little blips as I tried to merge things together. Tough problem and one I hope to improve on over time.
Today’s theme was “precious” so I figured I’d draw a cute kitty :D Basically followed along with a tutorial but I think it turned out mostly well (the feet bug me, though).
So I tried to make a logo via drawing rather than using any graphic design tools or anything and wow was that hard. Making circles or a line is basically impossible I’ve concluded :D (jk I know I just need to practice more). This is an Inktober drawing and today’s theme was “Star” (which made me think of Kirby Super Star).
Today’s theme is “exhausted”. I’m not too pleased with this one, though. I feel like I’m doing too much of just copying hair without understanding how it flows. I think it shows through at times in this one. Also the depth of her face just feels funky to me. *shrugs* another drawing done, though :)
Today’s theme was “drooling” and I think that’s the part of this drawing that needs the most work haha. Oh well - another drawing done and more things learned!
Didn’t have as much time today for drawing but fortunately today’s theme lended itself to a quick drawing. Here’s a chicken because uh the theme is chicken. Quite brilliant I know.
Another long day of drawing today. Also woo avoiding hands and bodies <__<;;; I have so much to work on and I still really struggle at looking at a drawing and copying it without having to redo it over and over. Also wrinkles in fabric seem impossible so totally just like pretended that didn’t exist in the hat. Today’s theme was “spell”.
Theme today was “roasted”. I spent a _long_ time on this (lol @ my original 30 minute goal). Was definitely doing some measuring to compare proportions with another drawing. I also just sort of gave up with drawing the clothing at the bottom half so lets just pretend that that’s there. Also this *for sure* meets the theme of roasted. See all those bad flames in the background? :D :D :D Edit: lol continuity error on the arm. <__<;
First time for me to ever try and draw something like a landscape. I obviously don’t know what I’m doing in parts of it but I’m really proud of myself for trying! There are elements here and there that I like (but, of course, I see SO MUCH to work on). Theme today was “Tranquil”
Going to try Inktober this year! Also going to limit myself to 30 minutes per drawing to make it so I don’t spent all night on each of these and just try and focus on producing something rather than fretting about making sure things look good (I know the hand and apple especially need work in this one for instance but hey I’m only just learning how to draw). Today’s theme was poisonous :)
