Chapter Desc: Charlie Morningstar stares at the two of them with her big brown eyes, naturally pink cheeks quickly going pale.

Alastor grins at her. “Hel-”

She slams the door in his face, and Vox could practically hear the shriek of a radio at the action.

Charlie opens it again, her face firmer as she looks at Vox. Although, confusion swirls within her gaze.

“-lo!”

She makes a move to slam the door again, but Alastor catches it before she can, holding it open.

“Can we not do this again?” Alastor asks through gritted teeth.

Or: Vox and Alastor pay the Morningstars a visit.

Chapter Desc:

Alastor’s smile shrinks as his memory begins to haze. As the image of him and Vox leaving began to blur and disperse. He tried to grab hold, but anything past that slips through his fingers.

And he knew there was more. He could feel it lingering, waiting to burst forward much like his magic, and yet nothing stuck. Nothing lingered. He was left with…

“Nothing,” Alastor finishes Vox’s sentence, earning a reluctant nod from the other.

“Yeah. Shit, man,” he grumbles. “We need to figure out what’s going on. Fast.”

Alastor's eyes bore into Vox as a bark of laughter rips out of him. “We?”

“Wh- Yes ‘we’?” replied Vox, hands gesturing between the two of them. “Why wouldn’t it be a ‘we’ in this situation?”

“I am not working with you.”

Vox gapes. “Are you serious right now? Do you think you can unravel all of this on your own?”

“I’m certainly capable enough for it.”

Or: Alastor thinks he's cool enough to figure all this out on his own.

Saw that everyone was updating their fics today so I wanted to join in on the fun but then I got beat over the head with HW

Alastor’s grip tightens, his nails digging into Vox’s skin and earning a wince. “What did you do?”

Vox’s nose scrunches up, and if he still had a flatscreen for a face he would no doubt have glitched. “What did I do?” he exclaims, his head lifting off the floor. “Why do you think I did anything?”

“Because there is no way in all of Hell that I would’ve…” he trails off, and he hopes that Vox can’t tell that his face is heating up. “No, this has something to do with you and you need to let us out. Now.”

“How would I even accomplish this? I’m not the one with weird reality warping powers, you freak.”

Alastor narrows his eyes at him, waiting.

Vox eventually speaks. “Look, can we just talk about this? I don’t know if we’ll regenerate if one of us kills the other and I really don’t want to test it out.”

And that… was an excellent point.

Or:

Alastor and Vox have found both themselves and everyone around them stuck as humans in some sort of warped reality. Now it's up to the two of them to break them all out of it.

Sure hope they don't discover any repressed feelings along the way.

Alastor’s ears flick in Velvette’s direction but he doesn’t look to her, the swivel chair creaking as he instead adjusts his arms underneath Vox’s loose wiring.

This was one of the few moments Vox had graced Alastor with his absence - Valentino had practically begged Vox to give Alastor to Velvette while she had been taking a break so they could have some… ‘alone time’ - and Alastor had taken this as his chance to relax. To imagine he was in the hotel, his radio tower, a bayou… anywhere except Vee tower, and he refuses to let anything ruin his peace.

“Just wanted to remind you in case somebody hadn’t in the last five minutes.”

Velvette was making that incredibly hard though.

Or: Unstoppable force (Velvette, somebody who changes her hair multiple times a day) meets immoveable object (Alastor, who hasn't changed his hair in a century).

OR: Velvette helps Alastor get rid of his bobcut.
