★innate cursed technique: Thread-Spinning Technique
I can manipulate my cursed energy to create threads that I can freely control. These threads are nearly invisible, though they can be spotted if they catch and reflect the light. Their cursed energy signature can also be sensed, though it is typically too faint to draw unwanted attention.
My effective range is limited to a 100-meter radius around me, and the maximum number of threads I can manifest at once is restricted by the number of my fingers.
The standard offensive application of this technique is using the threads as whips, as they are razor-sharp and inflict severe lacerations. The stronger I am, the deeper the cuts. If I want, I can also "soften the blow" by thickening the threads, making them blunt and less lethal. This will leave nasty bruises and abrasions without causing any real harm to the target.
★extension techniques: Control
I can attach my threads to anything and manipulate it like a puppet. This technique requires immense concentration, as it essentially involves subjugating another person's will. It works best on inanimate objects that resemble living beings, such as mannequins or dolls. These require little to no concentration since they have no will of their own, but I can still control them just like the objects they resemble.
It also works well on humans and curses, though it is far more effective against those whose willpower is weaker than mine. "Control" can also be forcibly deactivated if someone—either the target themselves or a third party—manages to sever the threads or their connection to the target. Its overall effectiveness scales with my own strength and the power of my will.
★extension techniques: Binding
I can reinforce my threads with cursed energy to temporarily immobilize a target, constricting around them like a boa constrictor. The duration depends on the amount of cursed energy I use to reinforce the threads, as this technique actively consumes it upon activation. It’s most useful at the start of a fight, when my cursed energy reserves are at their peak.
However, it’s unwise to dump all my power into this technique. Powerful sorcerers and Cursed Spirits can easily break free. Though, the more threads I use to bind someone, the harder it is for them to escape.
I usually use blunt threads to keep this technique non-lethal, but I can also use razor-thin threads to slice the target to pieces as they tighten around them. Cursed Spirits will be exorcised and vanish once the threads cut deep enough, unless they possess a human vessel, like the Cursed Wombs: Death Paintings. While the target is bound, I can physically hurl them around. Of course, this requires enough physical strength to actually pull it off.
★extension techniques: Grapple
I can launch my threads to drastically enhance my mobility by anchoring one end to a target surface. This is especially useful in urban environments or heavily forested areas with tall trees, for obvious reasons—after all, it’s pretty hard to swing from something that's close to the ground.
I can also use this method like a grappling hook to scale massive skyscrapers, cliffs, and the like if I lack the momentum to simply swing my way up. Both applications are equally effective.
If I want, I can also latch my threads onto a living being to reel them in closer without having to puppet them. This comes in handy if, say, I want to fling someone off a great height, like a balcony.

★domain expansion: Weaver’s Tangled Web (領域展開: 織手の絡み糸 - Ryōiki Tenkai: Orite no Karamiito)
I trap everything within my effective range, and my Domain manifests as a colossal, intricate spiderweb. The radius varies depending on my strength, but it never exceeds 150 meters. I can choose a smaller radius if I want, just to make sure I don't catch any innocents in the crossfire.
The interior of the Tangled Web is pitch-black, making it almost impossible to tell where my attacks are coming from. Not that it matters—anything caught in my web is trapped like a fly, and my attacks are guaranteed to hit.
Tearing yourself out of the webbing is incredibly difficult, though someone with enough raw power might manage it. That might give them some mobility, but it won't save them from the sure-hit effect. You can't escape the Domain itself, even if you break free from the web. Your only hope is to expand your own Domain or pray an ally breaks in to save you.
While Weaver’s Tangled Web is active, I gain temporary access to a unique Shikigami: a giant spider I call The Weaver. I can't summon it outside the Domain. I use The Weaver to cocoon anything caught in my web. Once you're cocooned, it delivers a bite, injecting a non-lethal venom that knocks you out instantly. Or, I can just order it to eat whatever it’s cocooned—which is especially effective against Cursed Spirits, as it exorcises them on the spot.
