A couple of weeks back I was out at Hansen Dam scouting location for an arts project. I'm playing a small role in "CURRENT: LA Water". The project aims to place 15 public art works, one in each of the city council districts. The pieces will be up next summer. I'm assisting the artist that was assigned Hansen Dam. Sugar Los Angeles

Back in March of 2011, I participated in photography group's Meetup event. The event took place at the Angeles Rosedale Cemetery near Downtown Los Angeles. This is an old cemetery that has a definite masonic vibe to it. I converted a lot of my shots from that day into black and white. Here's one of my favorites.

I've wanted to be up close to a hot air balloon for a long time. In 2011 I drove up to Santa Paula to the Citrus Classic Balloon Festival and finally got to see a hot air balloons in person. On Friday night, they don't fly the balloons instead them get them inflated at twilight. The lights of the balloons contrasting with the setting sun makes for some great pictures. This was one of my favorites.

Aside from photography, I love movies. Surprise, huh? Anyways... any time I can combine my passions, I'm there. I heard that the church Tarantino used in the "Kill Bill" series was out in Lancaster, CA. I made the three hour drive out into the middle of nowhere and was rewarded.

I am fascinated by black & white photography. I shot this picture early in the morning, on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, in 2006. I took a road trip to Denver and returned to L.A. through New Mexico and Arizona.

Sitting in the Clouds

I was on a hike through the CA Poppy Reserve and I saw this couple sitting with the clouds in the background. I then gave the image a "painting feel" by apply several textures. I'm happy with the results.
