Milas birthday
September 27, 2018 was the best day of my life. I welcomed my beautiful bright eyed daughter into the world.
At 3am I woke up to the feeling of needing to pee. I rolled out of bed and stood up, my shorts were soaked. So my water just broke.. awesome. I had a little cramp like pain and thought I needed to use the washroom perhaps, went to bathroom and nothing. So I pace around back and forth for a while before I decide to wake jacob up. All the while thinking “she can’t come yet I’m supposed to have another week”, panic sets in. I’m hurrying around now packing a bag for her and one for Jacob and I. Off to the hospital we go.
By the time we finally left our home it about 5 am or a little after. I tell them I think I’m in labour and they send me up to the maternity ward. So they assess me, check everything out and inform us that it’s go time. She’s coming. Today. I’m at 4 cms rn. So at 6am they put us in the labouring room. They give me an iv and I sit there shaking as I’m in pain and quite stressed out. I tell the nurse I think I have to poop and she says no no it’s just the baby moving down to prepare for delivery. So hesitantly I go to the toilet anyways and sit down, not so much a sit but I’m bracing myself against the two metal handle bars on both sides of the toilet trying to ease my pain lol. It’s not helping. I ask they if I can get a shot of anything, the agree to give me morphine, I received that at 7:05 am. Then everyone starts coming into the room, Jacobs there holding and caressing my hand letting me know everything’s okay and he’s here and that I’m doing fine/great. So it’s 7:40 and the dr says you’re 9 cm, it’s finally time to start pushing! I’m sitting there working hard trying my hardest to push her out. I say, I’m gonna poop and they reassure me that no I’m not it’s just the baby but I DID ffs. It’s starting to hurt more and I look to Jacob and tell him I’m scared as tears are rolling down my face. He just told me I was doing amazing and never let go of my hand. I wasn’t able to get an epidural as the labour was too quick and the morphine did not have time to settle in. After what feels like hours of pushing, at 7:51 am Mila came into the world and hearing her cry was singlehandedly the most special moment of my life.
The growing belly..
I found out on February 2nd 2018 that I was expecting my rainbow baby, after going through a miscarriage the summer before. My boyfriend and I were extatic! For a week before I would say to him “Jacob I’ve got a weird feeling.. I think I’m pregnant” and everyday until I bought a test I would say I know I’m pregnant lol. And then right there INFRONT of me were the two little pink lines I had been waiting forever to finally see. We were excited so we let his parents know right away but kept it a secret from everyone else until 3 months of course. It was a long tiring pregnancy, but it was also one of the times I felt the most confident in myself, I knew that even though my body was changing it was changing to accommodate for my child. I didn’t always feel sexy or anything like that but I knew that I was doing what I needed to provide for my baby. Then on May 25 we found out we were expecting a baby girl... AGAIN we’re extatic, I hung up the phone and said to my hunny “omg it’s a girl we’re having a girl omg etc etc..” lol the summer was long, hot and dreadful.. BUT we made it through lol. First pic is when I found out I was pregnant, and last one is when I was 39 weeks .. I went into labour that night
