Miles Britt
Twenty-seven. Landscaper. Jonathan Keltz.
Background
Since his grandparents moved to Florida to a retirement community, they allowed him to have the house as long as he takes care of it and of course has everything ready for them when they visit from time to time.
Miles tried college for a year but it wasn’t really his cup of tea, instead he used that time to travel to different places since he grew up in Frostford from the age of five. But of course, there’s nothing like home.
The reason his grandparents raised him is because his mother abandoned him. She had him way too young and could hardly take care of herself. His mother tried her best but when it just came down to it, she couldn’t support him, so he was shipped off to her parents.
He never met his father, it was someone his mother had a very short relationship with, his grandparents have only mentioned him once or twice but never really tell him all that much about him except the fact that he was a loser and never deserved his mother’s attention. He assumes it’s because he’s the reason his mother ran off on her own after high school.
Interview
001. How’s your relationship with your family?
Pretty good, my grandparents might as well be my parents since they raised me more than my mother did and my uncle helped out too, he’s more like a big brother to me though.
002. How do you think people around town perceive you?
I’m pretty known to be a trouble maker, at least in high school I was, but now that I’ve moved back some are still weary with me around but I think they’ve seen that I’ve changed. I think they know I’m trying to be the mature adult my grandparents raised me to be.
003. What has been your biggest regret?
Accidentally burning half the fur off my neighbor’s cat. I didn’t mean for it to happen but in hindsight, I could have pointed the fireworks at the sky instead of towards their house…
004. What’s your favorite spot around town?
Star Diner and Custards Last Stand are definitely two of my favorite spots, clearly because I love food. I mean come on. You can’t beat an ice cream shop and a good, down to earth diner with great food. And don’t even get me started on Wild Flour Bakery.
005. What are your plans for the future?
I wanna try to own a brewery, right now I got some gear in my garage and I do it there but I eventually wanna own one and sell my stuff locally and maybe around the region.
Connections
Karina Harper (friend) - Karina and Miles are very old friends. She was probably one of the first people in Frostford he befriended at a young age. Of course when she had moved he was actually pretty sad since they were close and use to hang out a lot but it just picked up right where it left off when she moved back to town. It was like nothing had changed except she was more grown up and definitely grew into her body. If he had to admit, he definitely thought she was pretty hot and didn’t mind at all when she was around for him to enjoy the view. Honestly, there’s some interest there if she was interested as well.
Michael Park (neighbor) - Having Michael Park as a neighbor is essentially having a best friend and a great annoyance next door. He’s always inviting Miles over for dinner or asking if he wants to go out to breakfast. In the summers, he’ll often bring over excess fruits and vegetables from his garden and propose a barbeque. No matter what way Miles looks at it, though, he can’t complain, because he knows that Michael will always be there with a smile on his face and some sort of plan.
Tucker O'Hara(best friend) - Ever since the second grade when the two were seated next to each other, Miles and Tucker were inseparable. As they grew up and grew out of old habits, their personalities became more defined. Miles created a lot more mischief while Tucker was more authoritative. They both kept each other grounded in a way, and to this day still share a strong bond.
Bobbie O'Hara (best friend’s sister) - Growing up with an O'Hara as a best friend means that you practically become an O'Hara, and Miles Britt’s case is no different. Except that he actually developed feelings for Bobbie. He never expressed them, and knew Tucker would hate him if he confessed, so he tried his best to shy them away. But every time he sees the O'Hara girl around town, those high school butterflies come right back.
