Rohr Altar, a masterwork by the Asam brothers
Angels of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore.
@prophecyfailed unspoken fluff is good for the soul: giving them their coat. ( from: URIEL )
Admittedly the weather in the area was a bit nippy especially with the way the wind was. The day was nice and sunny and fall of colors turning with the cooler weather incoming. Sera had initially been unsure about coming along, the archangel having insisted with something along the lines of teaching them a few things. Now what that was they were unsure about but they thought they heard it was for romantic purposes. Well, they weren’t going to dwell on it too terribly much at the moment since they had been enjoying themselves. But the cold seemed to be chilling the humans around them and they had been watching the nice gestures a few did with outer layers of their clothing.
It would only be natural if they did the same right?
Sera hummed as they slid their jacket off their person before moving to slip the coat over Uriel’s shoulders. A soft look of contemplation on their features as they took a step back.
“I hope you don’t mind.”
@dieuaile time to do some fun fall things: 🥐 - cook some comfort food
Now they weren’t quite the foodophile as Aziraphale was. Between their duties, taking care of their dogs, and just generally not really going out much they didn’t often explore what humanity had to offer. And food was one of those things they didn’t explore very often, mostly because they didn’t particularly need to eat. Though they did find a few things they liked and had brought into their knowledge to save for later. One of the few things they picked up and enjoyed on occasion was baking. It was one of their first really in-depth explorations that they found a bakery and enjoyed a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. Sera made a note about it at the time and found that they would bake maybe a dozen or so cookies.
And that’s why they were doing at the moment, baking up a little bit of comfort with a friend they could trust and be happy to share with. The Seraphim looked over at Aziraphale and set a bowl between the two of them with the cookie dough all made and ready.
“If we split this we’ll be able to get them on the sheets aster and then the faster we can enjoy them. I haven’t made these in the while. One of my favorite treats humans have come up with.”
@dieuaile unspoken fluff is good for the soul: Leaning into their side.
The seraphim gave a little hum as they sat next to the fellow angel upon the little couch that was present within his bookshop. It had been agreed and decided to take a small break for themselves. Sera had been working to help repair a few of Aziraphale’s books that so desperately needed it without the use of miracles, it wasn’t the same as working them by hand in their opinion. While they had been doing this they watched the other angel go about whatever other business he would attend to. Sera had to admit they liked this place the most with their more motivated explorations around the area. Not only was it someplace belonging to a friend and they could help in it also just felt safe and comfortable.
They liked it.
And that’s how they felt as they sat there with Aziraphale. Eyes slowly moving around the area they could presently see. There were so many books and little things to look at. The seraphim never felt bored when they were here. Always a new thing that would catch their eye even while sitting. Sera was starting to get lost in their own thoughts when they felt a small pressure being applied to the one side that was closest to the other angel. In fact, said angel seemed to be just the cause as he was leaning right against them.
A soft smile came to their features with not minding this at all. Not saying a word about it they just as worldlessly leaned right back against him some more. An arm coming around to hook it with his as they sat there. They didn’t think words were appropriate for such a nice moment such as this.
