Find stillness in movement. It’s been this quiet mantra of mine for a few years now. To release the need to pose the souls on the other end of my camera and to let the way their balance shifts, the way they hold each other, the interactions of two people in love steer the way my photos look. It’s a constant experiment, a perpetual balancing game. Last night was special. So special I wasn’t even home before I had to quickly edit these photos on my phone just to let it all sink in. When two people find each other and don’t drown the beauty of the present with small talk. When they can find the stillness of a moment and never stop moving, my job is both at its easiest, and it’s most creative. There's this map of the United States floating around Facebook right now that says that Arkansas is one of the worst states in the country to be a photographer.
