Probably my favorite part about being the owner of a business is the part where you work longer hours and forget what day it is. Yep. Definitely my favorite part.

Out of curiosity, a few days ago I started reading about the horrors of pregnancy no one mentions until it’s too late. After learning concepts like metal mouth, pupps, relaxin, diastasis recti, and gum related issues among others, I’m now ready to kill every man responsible for the legislation that pretends to subject women to these changes without a choice. In what world is this anywhere near fine?
I’ve lived a good life, I’m ready for prison. If anyone wants any of my things, let me know.
As a man, I’m ready to say on behalf of fellow men, that getting kicked in balls is nowhere near as painful as pregnancy and childbirth if that helps?
I can’t imagine how women do it. I’ve read most of it online since finding out about Sid and I don’t know how Dorothy did any of it. You and Daina will be fine those. I mean, she’s a doctor, that has to count towards something, right?
priscillafranks:
Yes, I have. i come from a big family. I’m the youngest of six and I’d love to have four or even six children of my own. I mean, depending on my partner but that would be my dream.
Wow, six? Thats a lot. I can’t imagine having that many kids. I joke about it with Dorothy, but I think she’d kill me if we got past four. I mean, this whole things about repopulation so go for it. If your future partners up for it, of course.
priscillafranks:
I can’t wait until I have my own children. How are you finding fatherhood?
It was hard, but I finally feel like I’m getting the hang of it. Kids are great though, have you always wanted to have kids?
Any good recs for places with some awesome shaved ice or sno-cones? I mean, I know they’re probably not that popular here, but I’m having some major summer vibes and I kinda wanna embrace that. It is more summer than spring now, you know?
Oh wow, those sound amazing. I don’t know where you get them, but if you find out let me know.
priscillafranks:
That sounds very intense. Do you guys all get on?
Oh we get on really well now. It was just hard at the beginning. I’m glad we reconnected though and I met my son.

Daina: LISTEN. Do you remember that fertility massage you got me? I think there was some black magic...
Miles: Oh
Miles: My
Miles: God.
Miles: YOU GUYS ARE PREGNANT? Daina, I'm so happy for you!! Gosh, I can't believe it!! Congratulations to you both!
So, I’m meeting the person I’m supposed to marry quite soon. If there is anyone who’s been through this and who wants to give me advice on that, then please do so. That, as well as tips on how to calm down. I need it!
No tips from me, I’m afraid. I met my future wife and turned out she was a one night stand that had given birth to my son.
I mean... at least yours can’t go any worse than mine?

Seeing him frown made her struggle not to show a grimace of her own, not wanting to worry him any further. “Oh, are you on a break right now?” she asked, glancing up as the waitress brought her food to the table. She thanked the woman and then plucked a couple of hot shoestring fries from the basket. Unfortunately, he asked the question she hoped he wouldn’t and she had to think of an excuse a lot sooner than she planned to. Keeping her eyes on her food as she quickly thought, she mumbled a few incoherent words around another mouthful of fries. By the time she finished swallowing them, she had an excuse and breezed through the explanation, “A patient got a hold of a surgical knife down in the ER and caught my arm with it. We ended up having to sedate him after that. I’m okay though, I promise. It probably looks worse than it is. After I finish up here, I’ll head out to get Sidney. Is he with your parents tonight or at my sisters? And tell me about the scene you’re working on.”
“Yeah, they’re shooting a few close-ups with the actors so we’re all on our lunch,“ Miles replied, stealing a few fries from her basket while he waited for his own. He watched her, waiting for a reason she’d hurt herself. He hated the thought of anyone hurting his wife, accident or not. She was his, she was precious. “A patient did that to you? Miles said in shock. He stole another fry, taking a breath to calm himself down. Dorothy could look after herself, but it still upset Miles. “He’s with my dad, he should be home. He’s trying to learn Sid some basic Cantonese. “He’s been repeating juice to him all morning according to my mom's texts. So, yes, save our son please.“ He picked up his drink and glanced over his shoulder to see the waitress bring his food over, a sandwich and some fries. “I’m doing a car chase this afternoon, I love but... It just feels my management team focus on these small low budget movies, you know?“ He shrugged. “Never seems to go for the bigger roles for me.“ His management was more of a start-up company, but Miles felt bad leaving them for someone else.

Dorothy walked beside her husband holding Fiyero’s leash as the little family headed to the park near their apartment complex. Her free hand slipped loosely around his forearm, watching Sidney take in their surroundings, and then she looked up to Miles. His question brought a toothy smile to her own face as she thought before answering, “Aside from one time last summer when I barely swung with Sidney in my lap? I couldn’t even tell you the last time I’d been on either.”
Once they found a safe spot to leave their belongings, Dorothy secured Fiyero’s leash to the stroller and set Sidney’s diaper bag in the seat after Miles got their young son out. She held her arms out for the toddler and held him to her hip, laughing at her husband’s declaration. “Just tell me when, so that I can get a picture or video.” Still giggling a bit, she walked the short distance to the swings and set down, placing Sidney in her lap to face her so that he could see both hers and Miles’ face while they were pushed. “Ready for this, Lovebug?” she asked the little boy, smiling when he did. She tilted her head back to look up at Miles and said, “We’re ready, Daddy. Ugh, I’m so glad the weather’s finally nice enough for outings like this.”
He carefully handed Sidney to Dorothy, feeling more than confident with him when she was around. He still struggled, but having Dorothy there to correct him and give him confidence was the best way for him to grow and develop with Sidney. “Keep an eye on your mom for me Sid, don’t let her fall off,” Miles told his son, flashing a smile at Dorothy.
He walked over to the swings, laughing at her statement. He was a big kid at heart. “I’ll go down twice so you can get both,” Miles promised, moving behind the swing. He waited until they were settled, before gently pushing the swing, eyes focused on Dorothy and their son. This felt like family, his family. This was the kind of thing he dreamed about. Going to a park, pushing his little family on the swings and taking loads of pictures. It was a dream, he was starting to feel that connection, the tug at his heartstrings. “Hold on tight you two,” Miles teased, pushing the swing again. He heard laughing from Sidney and grinned. “Well, someones having fun. Maybe he’s going to get a love of adventure and adrenaline rushes like his dad.”

I guess in a way it turned out to be percussion. No they just don’t at all, it’s kind of sad but they bring it on themselves that way. And when it’s what they want, it’s what they’ll get.
I just wish everyone could go back to how we were, before the powers. All this violence puts me on edge, especially with my son, you know? I don’t want the world destroyed before he’s grown up to experience it.
merritt-sage:
Tell me about it! They’re also very intelligent. I want to find whomever did that and gut them. I know that’s not very hero friendly, but I can’t stand people who hurt animals.
I’ve swum with one before, for work. I had this stunt underwater and they had dolphins, pretending we were in the sea. They were so cute and friendly. There’s no hope for people at are cruel to animals and I don’t give them any of my time.
merritt-sage:
Thanks, Miles! I save them from being stranded on the beach. Some heartless fools caught them and left them there.
That's awful! Dolphins are so cute and friendly. I can’t imagine someone wanting to hurt them.

Miles walked along, pushing the pushchair Sidney was strapped into as they walked through the park. It was a bit of a cold day, the weather had been quite bad lately but they all had time to spend together and it seemed a shame to be locked up inside. He glanced over at Dorothy with a smile and then nodded towards the swings. “When was the last time you played on the swings and went down a slide?” Miles asked with a smile.
Pushing Sidney inside the park, he stopped the pushchair and moved around the front, tickling his son under the arms as he tried to unstrap him. “Shall we push you and mommy on the swings?” MIles asked his son, glancing at Dorothy. He picked Sidney out of the pushchair and offered him to Dorothy. “I’m going down that slide later, with or without Sidney,” Miles joked. @nursedorothy
Some people just can’t take a friendly suggestion sometimes. A neutral zone is a neutral zone for a reason, it’s not a ‘neutral zone until I feel like doing whatever I want’ zone. Good thing I have the power of persuasian on my side.
Wow, percussion sounds like a pretty good deal in all this. But yeah, I don’t think people respect the neutral zones that well. Some just want a fight, no matter how it starts or where.
nursedorothy:
Between work and the ordeal on her lunch break, she felt unusually exhausted, and found herself looking forward to the food even more than she might usually have. While resting her cheek against her palm to prop her head up, she shut her eyes for only a moment, only to snap them open again at her husband’s familiar voice. “Miles, hi!” she spoke, with her own tone of surprise that he was there. She started to joke, “What have you got me lowjacked?” but when his hand when to her arm where the bullet grazed she instinctively withdrew her own limb to have a look, eyes going wide to see the blood staining through. “Oh crap… um…yeah,” she hesitantly admitted, knowing Miles aversion to blood. Cupping her other hand over it, she bit her lip and pressed her hand a little firmer than before. “It’s just a graze, I promise. But I thought I bandaged it better…what are you doing here?” She asked, trying not to keep his focus on the wound
Miles frowned, he knew it was dangerous, but he didn’t like her working at the hospital if she was going to be at risk like that. Helping people shouldn’t make you come home covered in blood. “I was just stopping by for a coffee,” Miles said, pointing towards the front of the cafe. “I’m working on a scene not far from here, they closed down a road for us.” He looked away from the blood, his eyes fixed on her face. “How did you do it?” Miles asked, trying to stay on topic. It wasn’t like it was something he could miss.
Story of the day? I saved a school of dolphins. And they rewarded me with dolphin kisses. Not sure it can get much better than that.
Dolphins? I think that’s the best story I’ve heard all day. How did you save them?
