you should be taking proper precautions if you're going to engage in conabuse, similar to BDSM (i.e. safe words, harm reduction systems, defining limits)

claiming ignorance after crossing a limit is not an excuse. that's like saying "i never bothered to learn firearm safety, so it's not my fault i accidentally shot that person"
