“imagine that you’re hugging me-”
“i don’t want to imagine it! i want to feel you for real, not in my mind.”
yeonjun fell back onto his bed as he held his phone close to his face, looking at you fondly through the video call. you’d been out for about 4 days now, and yeonjun had been whining for all 4 of them.
he sighed, trying to relax, “why is it that you look more pretty when you’re away from me? it makes me want to touch you and kiss you, much more than i usually do.”
you leaned towards your camera, almost kissing it. yeonjun smiled, bringing his phone even closer to his face. his eyes were shining.
he was in tears, but he still managed to show his strong side.
yeonjun smiled, “you miss me too, right?”
you stared at the blue haired boy in your phone lovingly, nodding, “i’ve been missing you since the second i left.”
yeonjun bit his lip, not wanting to annoy you any further, “come back quickly, okay?”
you nodded, your love for him increasing with each millisecond, “2 more days, and we can hug for-”
yeonjun said that with a straight face, and you laughed, “you really won’t let go?”
“i’m practicing making it for now. when you come back, i’ll make a proper one for you.”
“i’m sure that it’ll taste amazing.”
soobin grinned as he wiped his hands on the apron and picked his phone up from the kitchen counter. his eyes were glued to the screen and so were yours. he had been making a cake by himself at home when you’d called him.
he snuggled into the corner of the couch as you continued to speak, “the weather is really good. you wouldn’t liked it a lot.”
he tilted his head, smiling endearingly, “any weather is nice when you’re there.”
you nodded, smiling back at him, “does the bed feel empty and cold without me?”
his face fell as he nodded, “yeah. what’s the use of this huge body if it doesn’t have anyone to hold.”
you chuckled softly, “when i come back, we’ll lie down as we usually do. you’ll be big spoon and i’ll be the little spoon. i like it when you kiss me on the neck from the back, you know.”
he groaned, realizing that you’d be back only after a week, “i miss you too much, oh lord.”
you pressed your nose to the screen, sending him a kiss, “hang in there. i’ll be back.”
he smiled weakly, holding onto your words of encouragement, “i’m waiting.”
beomgyu pouted at the camera, “look at these lips. don’t you want to kiss them? if you want to, then you need to come back now-”
he sulked in the corned of his room on his beanbag, wearing three layers of clothing. his hair was a mess and his lips were raw from constant biting, making him look cuter than he usually did.
he continued to pout as he spoke, “both of us knew it. i can’t live for three days without you, and you know that i-”
you sighed, not knowing whether to laugh or be sad at his condition. you missed him beyond words too.
he wasn’t looking at the camera. you looked at him disbelievingly.
who would ever think that your boyfriend was 18 years old?
he behaved like a five year old.
his eyes slowly traveled back to the camera, where they met yours and he blushed as you burst into laughter, “come back soon, okay?”
you leaned into the camera, giving him a virtual kiss, “i will.”
“wow, leaving you behind was a mistake. i should’ve-”
“sshh, don’t think too much now.”
taehyun calmed you down as you talked to him on a video call, standing in the dark in the balcony of your hotel room.
he knew that you didn’t like being anywhere without him, and he felt the exact same. the house was empty and silent, and taehyun felt sad.
he smiled softly at the camera, “you’re looking pretty today.”
you scoffed, looking right back him, “says the boy who gets more handsome with each passing day.”
his eyes crinkled as he smile widened. he realised that your voice was having this effect on him, and he loved it.
and you knew that, for taehyun’s voice was music too your ears too. each delicate syllable that came out of his mouth echoed in your heart.
he chuckled, “is that even a question?”
you walked back inside and laid down on your bed as his voice filled the room. your eyes slowly shut as your breath eased.
it was almost as if he was right there with you.
kai scrambled to get his phone as the saw the name that lit up the vibrating phone. he’d been waiting for you to call since morning.
kai smiled as he heard your voice, you sounded well.
“hi! did you reach there safely?”
you smiled, pleased to here his voice too, “yes, i did. i’m assuming that you’re already missing me too much.”
kai chuckled as he spread himself on the carpeted floor, looking at the roof, “more than you can imagine.”
you held the phone close to your mouth, whispering, “i love you.”
he giggled as those words reached his ears, momentarily forgetting that you weren’t beside him, but were thousand of miles away from him.
“i love you too.”, he whispered back, his nose touching the phone.
you heard the obvious sadness in his voice this time, and quickly spoke, trying to reassure him, “i’ll be back next week, okay? then we can go out and do whatever the two of us had planned to do this summer.”
he smiled, your voice being the only thing that hadn’t changed for him, “okay.”
