I spend so much time on l figuring out the dialogue (some part still feel clunky to me) but I hope it express my thoughts on where I think Grace’s life would go :)

YES!!!! YOU UNDERSTAND!!!! last night while sketching this out i was also looking up which materials would resonate the best (it was smooth materials like steel) because i was thinking of what would the eridian equivalent of hearing aids be and what they could do to make places much more accessible for eridians who are hard of hearing or deaf.

also reminds me of a scene in a fic i read before which had rocky naming him "grace" because he's clumsy which also adds on to the whole, eridian!grace not being able to hear as well :-)

plus the whole minimal tattoos thing!! i also think he would have a family crest but thats basically it. rocky wouldn't understand just how weird it is for him to be so unmarked as an eridian especially one that went on this mission till grace explains it to him ugh ;;

halfway into the project hail mary book and my primary read of grace in the book vs in the movie is that book grace is a more believable (if not believable than at least more focused) scientist. whereas movie grace is a more believable . scared human being

she's platonic about it but in my opinion, stratt 100% treats grace as her dead wife. she keeps a tacky fox trinket in her coat pocket. there's a framed photo of him in her study . he's grinning goofily in it (bc he's a dork). new guy like: is that her husband? / no, dumbass, it's dr. ryland grace, 1/3 of the hail mary mission. / oh, fuck. were they... ? / yeah, it's unclear. black-and-white montages of grace messing around in high-level meetings play every time stratt contemplates committing more environmental crimes. she looks up at the night sky and vaguely wonders if he's enjoying his space ramen. that's her dead wife. she killed him.
