hi! i'm an artist and i was wondering if it's worthy to use tumblr as a way of creating an audience? like if it's better than instagram or twitter etc (i don't know if i worded myself correctly dsjkhfsd)

hi! hmm thats a difficult question.. honestly i think it boils down to personal preference. if you like using twitter and you’re active on there you should post on twitter, if you prefer tumblr use tumblr!

i feel like, with twitter, especially when you’re starting out as an artist, you need to always be very… aware? of all that’s going on in a fandom, the trending hashtags etc, so that people will see the stuff you post. so if you’re like super invested and quick and all, twitter is probably right for you.

on tumblr i feel like you can be a bit more chill if that makes sense. even when you post quite late about sth, or draw sth that’s not topical at all, you’re art still gets seen. as for instagram, i don’t really have an opinion on that, i never really diligently posted my stuff there lol

that’s just what i’ve experienced though, maybe other people have totally different experiences on these platforms!
