As Iām currently feeling very depressed about my future, my professional future and all as Iām finding more and more things I thought I would like to do but I actually donāt, I am daring to ask something that could maybe (maybe, because we donāt know where life goes sadly) launch mine, but also your career.
Do you guys remember that unfinished clip I did for school and that gave me a very good grade for my highschool diploma ?
I had always, always thought to actually make a channel with several animated shorts, like many on YouTube.
But I couldnāt have the time, it took me 5 months to do that one, for it to be unfinished.
Soā¦ I would be needing to form a crew.
I never dared to ask but now, maybe fate is making me doubt about my future to tell me itās time to.
-We should find a name for the crew.
-It would be free, it would be for YouTube ; however maybe we could monetize (even if I donāt know how to do yet), maybe we could submit some for festivals if we ever want for those we would find worthy. IMPERATIVE TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THAT AND NOT WORK BEHIND THE OTHERSā BACK.
-Everybody could suggest its own theme for the short, sometimes it would be my idea, sometimes anotherās, sometimes anotherāsā¦ sometimes all our ideas mixed up. For the story, for the shortās drawing style and charadesigns, the languageā¦
-We could post things we did alone as well out of the crew, precising in the title who did that, even if itās just music or live action.
-We should rather get along and have a good atmosphere, or it would impossible. Also even if you do get along but want to do something else you can leave whenever you want and come back if you want to.
-The animators should be able to draw in several styles, to be able to animate not just in their style, but also the othersā styles if they are the ones who make the charadesigns for that short (I can animate, but I know animating in other peopleās style might be too hard for me, depends how different it is from mine)
-Anyone could swap role whenever they feel like to, a scriptwriter could try to be animator for once, or a charadesigner to play the musicā¦ Anytime. Also anyone can voice act anytime, whatever the accet.
-Maybe if we ever get quite famous, we could have cameos as voice actors !
-We shall take our time, the ideal would be making 2 or 3 animated crew shorts (not counting the individual ones, you would post these whenever you want they are yours) each year, but we shall take our time or that wouldnāt be fun.
-Not necessary everyone would work on one short, itās ok it would be for the next one.
-All themes for shorts are welcome. Some could be poetic, others sad, others humoristic. We could also make recurring characters for shorts for their own universe, appearing in several stories.
-BTW come only if you know you can, will be able to work, want to and have the time !
Personally, I can charadesign, write scripts, dub (with my French accent lol), draw storyboards and apply sound effect or musics (either free of use or after having asked) taken from the net after the video. I am preferrably looking for (I will progressively edit the number) :
Some animators (preferrably 2D but if you do CGI welcome too, we could use some CGI as well, same for stop-motion) :
Some charadesigners :
Some storyboarders :
Some voice actors, male and female voices, singing voices too in case :
Some music composers/musicians :
Some background artists (we could use any style in any short, the contrasts could be fun) :
Some script writers (again anyone can) :
